Wish the lenti transition were the slip front and back

I do like Will Smith but this art doesn't represent the film at all IMO...
At first sight looks more like a WW2 or war action kind of movie, - not scifi

But it's FA, the goodies are great and i love the movie so i'll keep my order but i'm not as thrilled as i used to be with my previous FA

The front of the fullslip sucks. There are so many beautiful visuals for this film that this choice is questionable. Will Smith is on the back of the Steelbook, Will Smith is on the front of the Fullslip, Will Smith is on a disk and Will Smith is on one of the 7 special cards. And we do not know how many times it appears in the booklet. It fills me because I did not care about Will Smith. An alien in front of the fullslip would have been better. Go Filmarena, rework the fullslip that is worthy of The Last Stand one (lousy with Arnold at the front) but far from equal to the previous editions. This postpones the TBC release date but it does not matter, we are accustomed.

Okay I'm going to be honest but I'm also really not a fan of that package.

The full slip looks boring and the lenti looks cheap. Why do they insist on using flip flop lentis!

I expected the lenti to have the white house scene on it

I'm slightly going off the FA designs and I'm worried I won't like revanant or zootopia and I need a few others to combine with my black mass but they just don't tickle my fancy anymore

It's not crazy or stupid, films, music etc trigger memories, and this movie is a strong and negative one so if you're not getting positive vibes it's not worth parting with your cash

People aren't really liking the full slip, could it be that FA was submitting different artwork but the studios were being difficult? the front of the slip is an enlarged pic of Will from the back of the steelbook, I don't see fa choosing to repeat artwork unless they didn't have a choice??. Also wondering if Will Smith has something in his contract that states that his movie releases have to have him front and center on the artwork(just an idea, probably wrong but I'm not gonna go through all his movies to check lol) I read somewhere that tom cruise makes sure he's on all artwork for his films, and doesn't Arnie have a similar thing where his (full) name has to be on the artwork??

I'm just happy that it's not will smiths face surrounded completely in black, back and front. I do prefer fac slips that are colourful. People are saying they expected better so are a little disappointed but I think cos I expected worse I was pleasantly surprised.. nothing like thinking negatively so's not to be disappointed

I cant believe I am saying this but about an FAC release but I think the steelbook itself is the best thing and only thing.

Still undecided. I don't want to miss this but that slip is just . Maybe in hand it'll look different but it's not exactly iconic for a film with so many iconic scenes. Such a shame.

I'm sure the finish on the slipbox will be great, but artwork-wise, this is an incredible disappointment. This is Independence Day! The amount of amazing posters that were released for this film is nearly infinite... and they picked a random standing photo of Will Smith for the cover? I was considering this one, but this artwork guarantees a big 'nope' from me. You'd be better off getting the slipbox from the Japanese amaray and throwing the SteelBook inside of it from somewhere else.

@chunk I don't think that Will Smith's contract is involved in this matter. There are plenty original movie posters, all without Will Smith. They have high recognition value and represent the movie much better. So I wonder why the studio would refuse to use those and to choose a new mockup instead.
