Unfortunately amazon.fr doesn't work like that.

Unless it has a separate listing that explicitly states "steelbook" in the details, the official and practical answer is that you take your chances.

They randomly pull editions off the shelves. Sometimes you get the steelbook. Sometimes you get the amaray.

This is all assuming that they have any steelbooks left in stock.

I was hoping that this edition had the steelbook only and no amary. I know that they do that with single steelbooks but since this is part of a special edition packaging, i'm hoping that it's still a steelbook.

I doubt seriously that they would start printing these in sticking in the amarays. Regular releases, sure but I doubt it with this.

I have this, and I can't confirm what's inside as it is still sealed. On the back of the box though, they show everything that is in the box, and they do showcase the steelbook.

Hmmm. For some reason I keep thinking there was a set that was reissued with the steelbook. Maybe not France though...

I do know the French have a habit of reissuing collectors items, at least with FNAC.

There is a version of the Dark Knight from FNAC with a 32 pg comic, but it comes in an amaray case edition.

So it actually looks like an amaray with a slipcover on it

The French version of this set can be had on Ebay for roughly $30 USD plus shipping, if you are patient. There's a guy out of California who's selling a ton of these, one every day from the looks of it.

That's how I got mine and I gotta say, I love it.

I just bought mine from the same guy Got it for like $44? with shipping.

Everything was loose in the box though, guess it got thrown around during shipping, which tempted me more to open it. Ultimately, I'm happy.

Yep, I got mine for about the same price including shipping. My stuff in the box was loose, too. Obviously I've opened mine (which I planned to do all along) and the Steel and all other goodies were in perfect condition.

There was a small tear in the box's outer sleeve's upper front left corner, but I'm not really concerned.

And I can't blame the seller for the stuff being loose, I mean, looking inside its easy to see that there is plenty of room for the stuff to slide around, especially during shipping from France to the US.

Overall I'm happy and really need to find the time to see the movie again. :movie:

i just wone mine this morning got it for $29.05 so i am happy with the price looks like we all got it from the same ebay seller

I actually saw one of these at a Media Markt in Brussels last week and I couldn't believe it! I already have one and didn't have room in my suitcase to bring it home. I would have guessed these would have been sold out pretty much everywhere, but I guess not.

I actually don't mind foreign language on packaging. I think it adds to the Steelbook's flavor, especially in the case of IB as much of the movie took place in France. To me there's just something super cool about that.
