So to get the calculator for all those that MISSED out which applies obviously.
So you bought the original at cost say £50. This has obviously devalued because of the upgraded version so the inflated rate is decreased considerably. So most you get really is cost price back.
So say after Ebay fees you get your money back if it is sealed to keep it simple.
Open used you get about £30.
So for the opened copies:
You already lost £20 because of the depreciation of it being used and open.
You now use the £30 to offset against the £100 inflated rate for this as it is SOLD OUT.
So you paid £50 for the original release + £100 for the new release, Total paid £150. Minus £30 for the sale brings it down to £120 you are paying for the NEW release.
If it is sealed then it be £50 + £100 you are paying, minus £50 for the sale of the original. You pay £100 for the new release.
So alternative, Add 4K disc to the release and pay whatever cost it is.
Or shell out £100 or £120 (if the original is opened and used).
If your copy is sealed it is worth considering selling it because you get more money for it.
If it used and opened its worth considering the 4K disc.
Frankly I don’t really care what you do lol. Just adding some alternatives so it is clear on a financial

@cooey this is what I meant Matt. You paid £30 for the original release + £65 for the new release, Total paid £95. Minus £31 for the sale brings it down to £64 you are paying for the NEW release, not £35
But glad that you could get your initial costs back!

Unless you're a complete Scrooge, I don't think people will mind what they're saving on their original purchase but what they're saving on getting the new one (affecting their budget in the here and now)!

I do keep an eye on my finance and always do the math. That still doesn't mean that I'm a scrooge
Well that's a new one on me. Secured my copy via GB And just got it refunded. Guess there was less than 37 then. Does that mean that I will get a refund from HDN too for that fee? @apsmith21

i was refunded my "GB copy payment".
Yesterday i enroll in GB and finished my paypal.
And i confirmed my purchased "validated".
But today GB host refunded my copy without any PM or mentioned.
I am very angry. this is second time with blade runner 2049 4k.
GB host just send this masage
"Notes from merchant
HDN system oversold. Please get your GB fees refund from HDN"
I want more answer.

I'm interessted in the saving in the bottom line, you don't. It's each to their own, then. Simple as that. No right or wrong.
Mine's still holding at validated. Will continue knocking on wood and crossing my fingers and toes that my luck holds!
