Ok- so you are a little misleading here. You said you saved about $40 by buying direct. Now you say you saved $25-$35 by NOT buying the box and buying the Lenti and Full by themselves. That's like me saying I saved $200 by deciding to just by the 1/4. Saving by subtracting is not the same as actual savings.

Funny comment, and I undertsand what you're trying to say, but no, it's very incomparable. You don't get the 1/4 slip in the box set. You do get the lenti and full slip however, which are what I got. There's a difference there. And like I said, it was me personally making the budget cuts to get those. So I scratched off the tars card and soundtrack. I understand how you could have been misled by my original comment, but comparing the 1/4 slip and box is just giving a smartass remark. Anyway, hope everyone got what they wanted. I really don't see the big deal here on this one. Some made fake accounts and tried to manipulate the system.

I understand. I was just saying that some may have been led to believe that there is a huge savings to be had by buying direct. Yes, it was cheaper to buy direct. But not at a huge savings. If I bought exactly the same items direct as I did on the GB- I would not have saved $45. You saved a majority of that money by NOT buying things, not because of buying direct. It was simply a misleading statement. I'm glad you got what you wanted at a good price.

There's only 2 additional parts aside from the box itself which I was willing to pass this time around, so I had to make a decision. It's not like I don't support this site, which some seem to be saying about those who purchased directly on site instead of the gb. That is hardly the case for me. I signed up here intentionally for HDZeta GB's. King Kong was the first I had to get. Next was Saving Private Ryan, my favorite movie, couldn't pass on that, both I got right here, along with a separate purchase from a user in the classifieds. This site has been great to me and for me. Just been a crappy few months where the government is holding money of mine that I cannon access (dmv, dept. of equalization, lo-jack, long story), so I have to borrow money from others on this one until I can get my own money which has been delayed almost 3 months now.

Anyway, it's nothing personal, I just shouldn't be put in the same category as those who were trying to make profit instead of collect for the sake of collecting. I think HDZeta's packages are amazing and beautiful and look forward to more.

I would be gladly willing to help this site when I can. But this time decided to go directly as it saved me around $16 on boxset. Granted the savings are not that substantial as some of you might have expected but given the amount of GBs I am currently part of it does adds up at the end.

O, man! No! I never meant that at ALL! My apologies if you thought that. And I didn't mean to make it sound like you made a decision that was not supportive of the community. I would have ordered direct myself, but with this particular title (which I love) I did not want to roll the dice on HDzeta's first BIG live sale on their store and risk not getting it (if they had some failure of the site working). In fact, I'm guessing once their site is deemed stable there will probably not be GBs here for HDzeta stuff.(The same way there are not GBs for Nova since you can order direct). In the end, you saved - and that is cool. To be clear- I was not using semantics to say you were in any way like the jerks who tried to "work" the GBs. Nothing of the sort. I have no reason to believe you are anything but one of us crazy, dedicated ninja collectors! I hope the crappy months are behind you, and the new releases don't make you crazy! (I'm slowly learning how to pass on certain steelbooks...). But Interstellar was not one to pass up!
I do love the Zetas- Although it really is a head scratcher that Private Ryan never sold out...

Definitely a crazy dedicated collector like you. Everyone here made me feel welcome the day I joined when King Kong GB's first went up and I had to make 20 non-spammy posts. I was like omg, how the hell am I gonna do that in time. One member even offered to give me his copy that he was put down for, but I made it in time since this site had so many forums and threads that I enjoy and relate to, that's why I liked this site from day one (dark).

I have the Target and Futurepack Steelbooks, then got the Neo Pack only because I really loved this movie and it had such a huge effect on me. Very few movies would I buy multiple of and this happened to be one right off the bat that became an instant favorite of mine. I've seen a few comments of people saying they will sell the other Interstellar steels they have and replace them with these, but I plan to keep them all. Saving Private Ryan is another, and wouldn't you know HDZeta had to make that one right away too, lol. I'm doomed if they do Jaws :O, I'll still keep my dvd as well as whatever else comes out for that. I passed on two recent BluFans in order to be sure I could get the ones of this I wanted.

Damn! A JAWS edition would be EPIC! I also have all the other Interstellar editions too. I like having all of them if they are different from each other. I'm not even a steelbook purist- I have metalpaks that I love! (Dutch OUTLANDER and SOLOMAN KANE!!). But the triple packs can be trying. I love them, but it is hard to admit to yourself that you are buying the same steelbook with different window dressing. But having a bunch means some day I may just trade them away to someone who will be a very happy camper that day!

O.K. That means you are bigoted against hinges! They aren't better than steelbooks, but sometimes there isn't a steelbook. There isn't a Solomon Kane Steelbook- but there IS a metalpak. And sometimes the art is better...
I hope our Interstellar copies get here before the sequel opens in October. Psyched for the sequel- I can't wait to see Murph go to save Mann on Mars.
