Refund came through from K-Steelbooks this morning. They really are an excellent retailer. With their terms and conditions they could have easily not been so accommodating.

Unique slip or not, the fact of the matter is that this sold out insanely quickly. Could be a gem in the making !

Put an order down for this the other day through k-steel. Was surprised there were some available. It's unfortunate that it will most likely look like all the other releases, with no special slip either.

At least i put in an order for the Taiwan version, with the mug :)

Probably cancellations. A few people bailed after updates on the slip.

It's a good point. Not only did it it sell out in as quick or quicker than most titles with a much smaller quoted print run, but YesAsia never even got any copies, and the usual eBay traders like femcmh only got half what they usually get on new releases.

So if it's a run of 3k, where are they all? I know that some local retailers in Korea still have it up for pre-order, but is the steelbook market that big in Korea that it would absorb most of a 3k print run?

Either way, it looks like being a pretty scarce item outside of Korea.

Most of local retailer still have it up for pre-order but most of site told me they are almost sold out.

That's why Yesasia still does not have IM3 KR steelbook list on their site

I'm very surprised that 3K run would be sold out before release date

Are you certain the info on print run is correct? I contacted K2DVD about it and they told me that they believe the qty is nearer 1k, as 3k wouldn't sell out this fast. But they didn't know for sure.

Either way, it seems like it's going to be rare. ;)

Perhaps the distributor is keeping pre-order stocks low cuz he's learned the game? Not sold out equals cancellations and slow demand. Sold out equals low cancellations and fast demand.

$44 is too much to gamble on nothing special, unless one is prepared to keep it. In comparison, the T2 Exclusive went for $38 and Le Grand Bleu just about same as this issue.

It's the same ol' story...Jack Reacher and H&G both sold out pretty quick. Than a couple of weeks later there back in stock. K-steelbooks seems to be the only online retailer to have the majority while others show them as OOS. Haven't cancelled mine just yet since it's the only IM 3 version I have on pre order.

k2dvd is definitely wrong.

100% sure because I heard directly from Disney, K2dvd owner does not know how many print out for each of steelbook, He just guess the print run based on his allocation

Kimchi will source more than sold quantity but kimchi will not because too many customer cancel their order when slip reveals ugly

that's why kimchi have many kr steelbook left in his warehouse like G.I.Joe 2, A good day to Die hard etc.
