Let's complain hard to JB HiFi Online, maybe it will refund all of us without sending back?

My customer service experiences with JB Hifi have been good so far (touch wood), however I am in Australia. You email JB Hifi with your complaint, (hopefully) get a return authorisation number, then mark the item "return to sender" and once they are received back at the warehouse your refund is administered. I don't know how that will work for international orders however.

Given they are going to get a lot of complaints and returns, I wouldn't be surprised if they turn around and deny returns. I can see them considering it a change of mind... :(

Man this STINKS! Probably wont be able to get mine canceled but I thought it was worth a shot. I could have used that money to buy some premium collection Digibooks :angry:. On a kind of funny side note, the ones in the picture just happened to be the two I ordered. lol.
 
Gary (Burragum), how does Jbhifi administer the return / refund? So when we receive it in the mail, do we still sign-for & receive them, or we reject the items? If we dont reject the items upfront, dont we have to bear the cost of returning the items? Great if you can shed some light...

Im afraid CraigH, Is spot on buddy...Ive personally never had to return anthing to JB before, but as CraigH has explained thats how i see this working...This cost to return is obviously far less for us than any overseas account and will leave a very nasty taste im sure in your mouths for any future orders from this or any other forum....
As for what can i do to help......FOR WHAT ITS WORTH GUYS...
Im currently writing up an email explaining that the members of this forum whom There are many thousands are extremly AGGITATED and feel that they have been decieved by the false DESCIPTION forwarded on YOUR online site reguards to your current listings of IRONMAN Ect..Now they feel even more cheated because of MANY ORDERS had been processed BEFORE AUSTRALIAN MEMBERS were able to see the quality of the product. They now find they have to return these items INCURRING SOME LARGE POSTAL EXPENSES back to you just to obtain a refund.
As this will NOT GO DOWN WELL,you will find that this action will result in many future orders to JB HIFI either declinning significantly from overseas members and a reputation that will no dought filter though the online bluray and steelbook community that any and all future listings from JB HIFI ARE TO BE AVOIDED because of the risk factor of incurring further costs.
This would be a SERIOUS BLOW im sure to your reputation or it could be a great chance for your company to rise to the occasion and show some compassion to our fellow members abroad who pre-ordered AND SUPPORTED your products well in the past and very recently.
Is there any way that your company can restore the faith and confidence in our online bluray and steelbook community and if so could you please advise me ,as soon as possible so i can convey your actions to the thousands of members...restoring their faith in your company..

PERSONALLY I THINK ITS LIKE SPITTING INTO THE WIND AND TELLING YOURESLF ITS RAINING....But what the hell we'll give it a go.
 
I don't have a Facebook or Twitter account...The best thing JB Hi-Fi could do would be to delay International shipments for two days to process any cancellations (many)!

Still have not gotten a response about cancelling. I know they are slammed with these emails, but my items have not shipped. There is no reason they cannot cancel the orders and stop them from shipping.

If they ship them and do not take the returns back, they will have a much bigger problem then they want to deal with!

Same here. I requested a cancellatin early this morning around 6:00 am EDT. Have not rec'd a response from them. Disappointing.

Emailed them 12 hours ago to cancel the order. They had already taken the money out of my PayPal account. Just got emails that they all shipped. The kicker, it is 10 different shipments. :angry:

What a crock!
 
Me too. All shipped. They are probably hoping some just decide to keep them instead of returning them.

Reading this I was hopeful for mine as I had just checked my email and hadnt received anything... then I checked again. SHIPPED:(

Im thinking Craigslist might be the way to get rid of these if its too cost prohibitive to send them back...

Unfortunately we have only been able to cancel orders #### and #### and the rest of your orders have already been dispatched.

Once an order is sent we cannot cancel it until it is received back in our warehouse.

If you would like to return the item, please reply to this email once it is received, and the relevant return information will be sent.
