I know what U mean, just give it couple of weeks and once U settle in fine on here Ull be chasing after one lol, I mean U just joined the forum and only have couple of posts, with time your inner U will come out, sooner or later lol

But in all honesty no need to splash that much money on a sealed on, get a mint one for half of that figure if not less ;)

You might have a point.

At first, I didn't take a second look at steelbooks and now I'm collecting them.

To stay on topic, the Iron Man steelbook is a thing of beauty.

I agree.

This hobby is very addictive.

I just started collecting steelbook for a little over a year now. So, I had to pay several hundred for Iron Man futureshop steelbook.

I started buying amaray when blu-ray and hd-dvd came out. I bought my first steelbook and I was like "wow...this is nice and much cooler to display". I went on a shopping spree buying cheap steelbook (the ones on sale for $15 each). And then I started paying more attention to ding and dent :(. And then I noticed about incomplete data sheet, insert, etc. Because I love steelbook so much that I find myself spending $100 or more per steelbook for the rare ones. I guess I have too much love for this hobby :) Even til this day, I still find myself looking for older releases with the blu-banner steelbook - they are the original blu-ray steelbook.

well two out of three ain't that bad :naughty:

for those of you keeping score, mark it down on the calendar

officially abandoning quest for this steelbook, it just wasn't mean to be

why art thou steelbook gods so cruel?!?!?!?!?!

I gotta say that this probably isn't in my top 10 or 15 steelbooks that I own. There are many others that I like much more than this one.

if it was in the 150-200 range i'd give it a go, but the price on it is just unjustifiably high (at least for me...)

the other FS big boys will suffice for me

It's all about what it's worth to you, and to you it's not worth giving an arm and a leg for it. That's ok, but don't give up hope because you never know! I'm right there with ya though. Maybe one day all of us dreamers who don't own this will have it. We can dream can't we? lol

well, I paid $200 a year ago....I see them going for $250 or $300 used... I bet if you look at your collection right now, you probably regret paying at least six $50 each of the crappy steelbook that you had bought... Get rid of them and use the money toward this one. Man, I'm telling you..i have at least 50 crappy steelbook in my collection...and I don't know why I bought them before :hilarious:

There have been a handful selling between £150-200 (opened). I think I would be happy with that price, but not via ebay. I've been stung far too many times with "mint" steelbooks from there.

I totally agree with MayFlower, too much filler. I've spent over £200 in last month on so-so titles that I could easily live without.

Guys guys I already told SlimJim24 sooooo many times hehe, the sooner you get the better my friend, stop getting inferior steelbooks on preorder/release dates, those ones that you can easily get discounted at a later time if you want, save up and get your holy grail once and for all bud ;)

Crysis 2 Nano Edition > Iron Man FS! Hell I dare to say Crysis 2 Nano Edition > *

Better than asterisk? I'm confused
hehe he means that it (Crysis 2) could possibly be THE sexiest steelbook title out there, the asterisk here represents a wildcard character/symbol and stands for any string of characters (i.e any steelbook title in existence) :naughty: ;)

I'm a proud owner of both steelbooks and I know what Mehdi is trying to say, C2 is the coolest video game steel out there, PERIOD :scat:

The Iron Man steelbook prices are crazy! Not a fan of the blue banner. Love clean steelbooks. I hope they release Iron Man in steelbook again.
Blu-Banner rules the steelbook universe bud (especially the old first print ones) and even if IM ever gets released again it won't affect FS's steelbook value, it's the holy grail of all holy grail steelbooks out there ;)
