Do you guys think this will be more sought after than the Play release? What was the print run for that one? I missed out on that, but managed to secure one of these for my collection, and was fortunate to have a ninja here help me with a GB for the Blufans, so I feel very lucky to be here on this forum :) Same with the Drive Mondo and Nova!

The play version had a run of 4000 I believe.
Its hard to predict how sought after it will become, but it does have a few things going for it over the play one such as a 2nd disc and inner art from the correct film in the series.

I believe the print run for the Play.com one was 4000. As for if it'll be more sought after, who knows.

Personally, I'd take this steelbook over the Play.com or Futureshop one any day of the week, just because I much prefer the artwork.

Some people said Le Grand Bleu Kimchi should become a grail too!
And today? $60 !
Anybody see the IM Lenticular ? No so lets wait for the release date.

the bay will have a lot to offer the next months ;)

IMO, the steelbook community is so diverse now that making generalizations does not serve as true. For those who collected from the beginning, IM FS will probably remain a grail in their eyes. Those joining much later due to more choice, budget friendly pricing and availability will obviously share a different opinion. I personally prefer the newer editions for a host of different reasons. I have often argued that the so called GRAIL status is and will change with time. Out with the old and in with the new. I welcome these new additions

That's something that still boggles my mind to this day. To each his/her own, but I don't find anything special about it and the blue banner is :wtf:.
I'm not the biggest fan of it myself, I think one of these editions will probably look better than it. It is still the definitive Iron Man Steel though and a look at the prices shows that it has consistently remained one of the most sought after steels.

Yep i think with the amount of steels released these days there won't be any more grails. A lot of the Steelbooks go high at release and then prices drop after a few months. It takes time to find out what the true grails are, you need to look at the prices 1 or 2 years down the line.

That I'll agree with. I didn't mean to step on anyone's toes with my post, but it's just never appealed to me. :)

To each their own. In my opinion, Grails are what they are not necessarily because of print run or appeal but mainly due to rarity based on preservation. What I mean by that is that back then no one knew that they would be worth anything so they didn't take care of them. So nowadays the ones that are sealed or in mint condition are preserved in collections - and are hardly ever sold. That's the type of rarity that adds up to Grail, that the few ones in amazing condition are preserved that way and kept 'not' for sale. As for me I love the original Blu-ray Banner steels, it's the direct giveaway that let's you know - its a classic! :)

Agree. I love those blue banners on the old ones.
