2,203. I must say that it does slightly surprise me that the more sought after low numbers were for the home market. But then again, it can be cool to get number 3,000 of 3,000 so all's cool.

Before everyone starts a riot, remember that it's a great movie, and to be fair, one of the only ways of actually being able to own an Iron Man Steelbook that doesn't cost the earth.

It's a starting point, maybe not what you hoped for, but a starting point none the less.

You should all remember that there are many completists out there who will truly appreciate this, as it fits in alongside Germany's IM 3 and the Trilogie Edition, not just Play's and Future Shop's to make up a set.

Lol, you keep saying that. But no one's saying it's bad! There's hardly any negative comments.

Me: I kind of like this Steelbook, but it's not the best.
You: Just calm down, remember think of the positives.
Me: I said I kind of li...
You: I know you hate it, but just remember you can always sell it. One man's trash is another man's treasure.
Me: But that's not what I...
You: Don't raise your voice at me!

One of the first signs of rebellion is whereby the masses slowly turn against those trying to help. I hear you. I'll exit through the side door quietly...

- Lenticular: 1500 copies for overseas
- 1/4 slip: 350 copies for overseas

So that would mean I suppose Total Print Run is as follows
Local and overseas =3000 for Lenticular Slip
Local and overseas = 700 for 1/4 Slip

We will know when we see the numbered card on the back of a 1/4 slip if it has 700

I wonder were the other 300 are gone as its usually 4000
3,700 is an unusual print run

Looks good to me, I can't see many people being dissapointed. Apart from the lack of embossing/ debossing this looks just as good as expected!
That's how I feel.

The thread has turned into a wake purely because of the lack of embossing/debossing, gloss finish, and so what if the inside artwork is the wrong way round?? where's everyone gone??

Nearly 200 pages and then when the first photos appear... Silence.

Well I say well done to Kimchi for at least giving it a go, and in their defence it's not the artwork they would've chosen themselves. It's not their fault.

I think Kimchi have done a good job like they always do. With the addition of the Lenticular and 1/4 slip I think this will be one of the more desireable IM releases down the line.

I would've been one of the people posting pics today but I missed the mailman :(. My girlfriend was home but she was sleeping and missed the doorbell. I then went to the post office to pick it up after work and I was right on time....until I wasn't. Got there before 5pm (4:49 to be exact) thinking I was good because all the post offices by me close at 5 but this particular post office closes at 4:30 :(.Oo well will just have to wait to pick it up tomorrow.

The pics of it in hand look great! Too bad I won't be opening it though lol. Looks like I'll have to live through those of you that do decide to open it.

I'm really looking forward to this beauty arriving. The in hand pics look great and it's going to be yet another fine addition to the kimchi collection

It's also great that this IM1 is a bit different from previous versions so has a certain unique quality. Definitely a good looking steelbook.

I agree with many on here both of these editions look terrific and stunning in the pics cant wait to receive both in hands and enjoy... [emoji41]

This is so dumb, mine got delivered today but I wasn't there to sign. So I had to go to my USPS and pick it up, they wouldn't to give it to me because the driver had written pick up on 2nd of December at 8:30 AM… So now I have to wait till tomorrow morning to grab it.

I'll post my unboxing video tomorrow morning

It's really entertaining to see how people respond to this type of release in today's environment. You take this same exact package (steel, slip, extras, print run) and release it in 2012, and you are looking at a guaranteed holy grail. The only reason people are trying to compare this to FS and Play is because those have already become sought after. But looking at this purely objectively for what it is, the previous IM releases can't even approach this. I'm pretty sure the same will be said about Blufans too. These are just in a different league.

I still think that when the dust settles the artwork chosen for this Kimchi steel will be seen as the most appropriate to the movie because both front and back are essentially action shots, whereas all other artworks for all other steels are up close stills. And look at that LENTICULAR!! :woot:
