The form that is returned to Border Force (returned mine today) is only to hold the item whilst they investigate - if you don't return it your goods will be destroyed and you save them a job proving it was fake.
BF will not require any further info from us (other than the suppliers details) as it's not relevant. The warning of possible further legal action being taken if you choose to halt the destruction is irrelevant in this situation as they would have to prove you knowingly imported goods that were fake.
The BF will contact Kimchi and ask them to supply the forms from the studio/supplier granting Kimchi a license to produce - this will be the same license Kimchi will have had to supply Scanavo with before they produced the cases. Once the license has been supplied to BF the matter should be over and our packages released.
Currently this has nothing to do with tax/vat avoidance as it would've been stated in the letter, as previously pointed out if you get caught avoiding import duty you will just be billed and case over. There is a chance though that these may now get pulled up for duty to be paid in which case we will be sent a bill before they release them.

I in no way blame Kimchi or the Border Force - they're just doing their job and mistakes do get made - I just hope it's resolved post haste and our Steelies arrive in an acceptable condition.

99.99% don't blame Tony but it is the prejudice of one anti-UK guy out here spreading hatred and rubbing in on others wounds. He simply isn't getting the fact that there has been a general lack of response from Tony to emails which is going the beyond the acceptable waiting period.

Let's post the letter back in the forthcoming days and see how things pan out. Thankfully I got the plain ones that were shipped later but one of them is a bit more damaged for which there has been no response from Tony for nearly a week.

I know plenty of people who own their own businesses and I don't know of any who just take Christmas 'off' - they would certainly never shut down their whole operation for a week and ignore emails. I find it very hard to believe really.

I'm just gutted the way things have gone for everyone this will sadly be the only time I buy from kimchi they make awesome steels but this is simply too much hassle

I've still not even had a letter about this, i guess mine are in with the others that have been stopped but i dont know. if letter doesnt arrive monday then if i get set the same deadline i will not be able to get the letter returned to them so they will get destroyed.
i think very few people blame Tony/Kimchi for the problem however i do agree with those saying that the lack of response is completely unacceptable.
the biggest problem i see is if they do get destroyed or border force wont release them is should Kimchi give a refund? it isnt technically their fault that the products were stopped but they buyer should not have to pay for an item he does not receive... tricky one!

I was expecting a letter today and I haven't had one oh well I have less time to sort it now great

They thought the imported goods were fake? Yeah, as if people would pay over £30 (or $19 marked on the package) for a "fake" copy of Iron Man when you can get the amaray copy for under a £5. It's legit FFS!
Trust me the people that work in customs and the Border Force office make Dumb and Dumber look like Sheldon Cooper!

Here's hoping that as soon as Border Farce get all our letters they see there is a problem and hold the whole lot from being destroyed until this issue is sorted.

If I didn't get a letter today I probably won't have one now seeing as many people got them wednesday or today

So sorry to hear this is going on. I feel this will all be sorted out in your favor and all the Iron Man steels will be delivered to everyone. What a glorious day that will be, right?

Has anyone seen the reasoning behind why the BF thinks these are counterfeit?? Just because they come from Korea????
It was most likely caused by lot parcels arriving in the UK marked as $20.00 and someone at border force thought they found batch of counterfeit goods or its another reason I mentioned earlier

Its a mistake this release is not counterfeit but its important those who got the letter reply straight away to avoid destruction of contents of their parcel and not just hope it will get sorted by itself as that might take a while before its sorted

Its a bad mistake by the Border Force officer who took this action

What's weird is that my Kimchi Iron Man's are on Incheon flight number 267 and last seen on the 2nd of December; and my TDKR non-exclusive steels are on Incheon flight number 267 from NovaMedia and last seen on the 13th of December. Flight number 267 is not to be trusted guys!
