Would you like the steelbook to be blue or Hulk himself to be blue? And what's up with you lately making these kinda weird comments in regards to the color of steelbook's? Gotten a new fetish or something?

Just to continue stevo's theme I'd like a pink Hulk steelbook.[/QUOTE

A pink Hulk steel?! That's just too damn outrageous man. Who the hell has ever heard of a pink Hulk? If its gonna be pink, why not just get a normal muscle man to be Hulk? No pink, blue makes a lot more sense. As for my green IM request, its not weird at all. Its not like I'm asking IM to pose in a pair of blue jeans or anything.

I still cant wrap my head around the point of this when there already is a perfect iron man steelbook out there.

Completely understand. However, I missed the first edition release, and would love to have a steelbook version of this film without having to fight to pay considerable amount on eBay! But as others have mentioned, I don't think this (or any other) release will ever live up to the original, so I wouldn't worry.

Add that to the fact that this has never been released in Korea. We can't just look at things from our point of view. What's a re-release to some is a new release to others! ;)

Indeed. It's a new release for me. I've never owned any IM or IM2 steels so I am pumped for this, and I've been in this game for a while, so you just never know.

I've got both Iron Man (FS) & Iron Man 2 (HK?) and even I'm excited about getting this. I'm doing my very best not to double dip again, but damn this is so tempting to get if the artwork is done just right!

I've had horrible luck with Iron Man 1. Passed on the FS one because I was dumb. Got semi-screwed in a group buy for the Play.com one. Glad to see Kimchi doing this, I just hope I'll be able to get it this time. It's the only Marvel Steelbook I'm missing!

The point is pretty simple. Supply and demand. The most basic fundamental of business. An Iron Man Steelbook is a product that many people around the world desperately want and will buy, even those who own the previous releases. If consumers want to buy something then why would it be pointless to sell it to them? And what's perfect to some may not be to others. Like previous posters have said, this is the only Marvel Steel I'm missing and I'll take it. I missed my shot on Thor, but I'll settle for the Zavvi one; the Play.com IM sold too quickly for me to get at a reasonable price. I collect for the love of the Steelbook, not for profit. I don't care if they over-saturate the market with them. I just want my collection to have the movies I want in it. Sure, if sometime down the road I can acquire the original Thor and IM Steels, fantastic. If not, oh well.

Ok we need to stop throwing around the phrase "supply and demand" because that is not what this is at all. If it was then they wouldn't take forever to sell them. The majority of these $200 BIN listings if put up for auction wouldn't fetch anywhere near (ok maybe pretty close) that so This is more like "a ransom"

Key wording there, over saturate. That is exactly what this is. There is no need for this. If you miss out on this too are you going to ask for someone else to make another? Cause once this is gone it will be fetching more then the play release.

I do own the Play.com IM and IM2, but I have zero issue with this release. Bluprint hit the nail on the head with his post.

I'm excited for this one and I think it has the potential to be great. I just hope Kimchi either upgrades their servers or sets aside copies for a group buy as they did with Frozen.

Same mate!

I have the Play.com versions, but I am seriously looking forward to this release! :scat:

After market prices are not a reflection of true supply and demand. That's precisely why it's considered "after market". What some scalper would personally make in some online auction is irrelevant to practically everyone except the seller. The only truth that matters in supply and demand is that the SUPPLIER (for instance, Play.com with their IM release) sold out of their stock quickly and completely, making their projected profit on the item and still having people wanting more of said item. They don't care if one person bought "X" number of the same Steel, they just care that people wanted their product. When they look at their books at the end of the day there was more demand than supply. That is a perfect example of why another retailer would follow suit; because, unless you haven't been paying attention to the last 46 pages of this forum, there is a definite demand for this product. It's really pretty simple.
