the Fox wave from play took 9 days after they posted it to arrive but that was mainly because of all the diamond jubilee shenanigans. hopefully I'll get this by the release date this time

Dont think they can lol, unless people cancelled their orders for some reason or there are issues with collecting payment which I think is very unlikely considering how anticipated this release is!

I didn't think about that. If you can get it from ebay for an inflated price, that may be the only choice.

I didn't think about that. If you can get it from ebay for an inflated price, that may be the only choice.

Play like any reputable etailer will carry some in stock to cover those eventualities. I would imagine when you suddenly see it back up and then gone again, it's that buffer stock that they are selling. Don't imagine it will be at original price either. They increased price on MI4 twice. to clear their decks.

That's very reassuring guys, sorry didn't want to start a panic!! I've ordered countless play.com exclusives, and yes, the new packaging is basically flawless.
It even says on the box we have listened to your Steelbook packaging feedback, and to update accordingly on the relevant forums. Well, I can tick that box

some(apparently very few though) orders in the new packaging method arrived damaged

Yeah, received stuff in Jiffy bags after the introduction of the boxes...But if you ordered loads from this wave, you might receive them in boxes and then in one large box sent priority mail
