Mine is still sealed but was thinking of making it a 2 disc set to match my FS edition. Same goes for my Play IM2.

I managed to get a copy of this during the first run and I've never even opened the box it came in. I've toyed with the idea of selling it as I think someone else, a dyed in the wool hardcore collector would appreciate it more than me.

Nope, not even remotely. I bought it as I was on a real binge of buying Steelbooks at the time. I spent a lot of time over the Christmas break putting all my Steels in protective bags (I have a disgusting amount of them, whoo-hoo!) and happened upon the box. I'd totally forgotten about it truth be told.

I bet I'm not the only one whose happened upon releases in their collection recently and went "oh ****!"

I do like this steel but I think they could of came up with a better design on the front, fs one is much nicer in my opinion, I like the im2 steel better as well

With highly sought after steelbooks like this one this is the best thing to do if you miss out on the original print run. Get on ebay and pay that little bit extra so you can secure a mint copy before the prices rocket.

It'll be interesting in 2013 to see which outta the Play & FS editions gains (or loses) the most percentage points in value, especially with IM3 in 3D coming out in Theaters this March.

Having a 4k less print run than FS edition, and the lower overall starting point (affordable to more collectors) has got to be an advantage, hmmm?

I believe they will both go up in value. IM is IM and no one wants an incomplete collection. Maybe here is the time for the collectors to hold onto their IM's until their value rises and be worth more when IM3 comes out?

When IM3 is released, no doubt the "new" collectors will be trying to source this + IM2...Value will only increase in my book. A must have in any collection anyways, IMO.

The pure fact that Play Exclusives are no more will put a rocket up it's backside! If you've got it, you'll keep it. Once the ebay sellers get through their remaining stock, this is only going one way... UP!
