I believe they will both go up in value. IM is IM and no one wants an incomplete collection. Maybe here is the time for the collectors to hold onto their IM's until their value rises and be worth more when IM3 comes out? :)

Maybe also the design of the IM3 steel could also effect play or FS editions - like if IM3 goes better with FS edition, FS edition could benifit more than play edition or vice versa :cool:
 
FS version will always command a premium price. It is one of the original holy grails, it's the heart of the Future Shop steels, it has the original blue banner, the original IM release.

I don't think the FS version will be affected much, I think it be more of the Play.com one that will climb more in value as they are better price ranged for the general market and like I said, no one wants a missing trilogy.

Nope indeed noone. I just hold of transformers 2 and completed my transformers trilogy. My OCD is kk now :)
 
It is likely the third IM will not have the blue banner so it may fit in well with the Play.com IM's, and boosting the value also :)

They should release two versions, one with the blue banner and one without.
