Is the lenticular magnet any good in person? I have been throwing the other two in and out of my basket. I guess I am looking for an excuse to buy these or a definitive reason not to.. I probably shouldn't but then there is that constant feeling of missing out.. Lol

If the magnet is not to your taste, with that old-fashioned 3D postcard effect, then it can be removed easily and put to one side or on your fridge.Is the lenticular magnet any good in person? The steelbook underneath is perfectly acceptable IMO.
WITHOUT the magnets all steelbooks in this particular run of films should have been in a gloss finish to complement previous well-known editions such as the Play and the Blufans.

I knew this would eventually turn up individually but am really disappointed that this and iron man 2 are only 1-disc editions. Waited so long for a new steelbook of these two and now it's here, it's breaking my heart that I am not getting them. Does this not bother anyone else? The fact that the marvel steelbook range will alternate between those with the extras disc and those without?
Same as the Play.com 'Iron Man" - 1 disc.
The extra disc, being 3D, doesn't apply to "IM 1" and "IM 2".
The 'Extras' discs included in the earlier Amarays with all the extra features was not expected and for features available on the 2010 "IM 2" Triple Play Amaray you can check out my post No.187 on the "IM 2" thread if you wish.

Zavvi should have arranged with Marvel/Disney to have the extras discs be in the steelbooks for IM1 and IM 2 they should have been 2 discs each in my opinion and would have made them lot better releases and sold more as a result
Blufans and Kimchi Iron Man Steelbook were both 2 Discs the Film and the extras discs in each of their steelbook releases

purley because they did not include the extras discs but that was when I was only starting to purchase the odd steelbook not like now where I purchase a steelbook over most amaray releases if a steelbook is availableThe Iron Man Steelbooks look ok they and are not bad as some have said in my opinion but could have been winners as in have wow factor if they had of been gloss or spot gloss finish and had no lenticular magnets or had amazing lenticular and included the extras disc

Back artwork there was no need for the title Iron Man to be printed on the back artwork when it was already embossed on the front
If it had of been gloss finish or even spot gloss it would have looked lot better
Some matte steelbooks can and do look great I have a good few of them but they work because of the artwork having quality image with good use of different colour inks and embossing but when a matte steelbook don't look great you can easily see it
That said not all gloss steelbooks are amazing some can be drab looking but its how its used that can make a difference
They should have numbered the first 1000 using laser etching or a sticker, that way if you bought the bundle it is a little more special, or if they put a little more care and attention in to the release maybe a numbered slip for the Z-box release. ...
On a separate note
Zavvi might be doing a Incredible Hulk Steelbook but that will be a universal release and not disney
