Why are there two separate threads for the same identical Steelbook?
This thread is the Zbox/Steelbook combo thread which is how others got this steelbook before it went live on it's own today
It was previously exclusive with the Renegades Zbox and Heroes and villains Zbox only until today
I have already this steelbook since last week it was despatched to customers on the 19th Nov for a release date of 23rd Nov

The other thread is for the steelbook itself on its own which only went live today

IM1 steel was sent 5 days ago and its still a no show, im worried :(
I wouldn't worry too much, I think most post is delayed this week because of Black Friday deals and price matches all week. I've been waiting on two vinyls I bought 9 days ago. If it hasn't arrived by say, Wednesday, then I'd start to ask some questions.

Its literally just turned up. Ive had 2 sets of post today, one postman at 10:30 one at 1:30.

Its a nice steelbook. Shame the inside is so boring. The lenticular is one of the bedt in the wave so far.

That reviewer is wrong. The lenticular has very good depth.

So far I'm sure I've read that you have said they all have good depth which I think your wrong.
The ones I've seen in hand do not have good depth and barely move lol
Not picking a fight but you seem to be defending the lentis when they really are not great compared to pretty much all other countries lentis especially the Asian market.
Hell I have better lentis from standard blu Rays (Enders game, the pixars ones like monsters inc etc)

Only received 2 of the 8 so far due to card issues holding up my orders but I can safely say without fear of contradiction that one has good depth and the other doesn't.

Clearly NONE of these are meant to have a "flip" effect or "image transition" effect (a la "Benjamin Button") and are of the "Layer Depth" type.

I trust in the not too distant future that the lenticulars on our steelbooks will be amazing with not just flip, morphing and basic 3D depth but also "Animation" (a series of moving images on a picture) and "Zoom" (a 3D effect that makes a part of the picture appear larger or smaller) and maybe they will be on par with those from South Korea from where it is generally accepted the very best lenticulars in the world originate.

Not being an lenti expert I'd still hazard an educated guess that one way to improve any lenti is to increase the "Layer Depth" by making them thicker even if that means increasing the thickness of the steelbook opening front half i.e. to fit the new thicker lenti snugly into the framing border so that they don't stand proud said border will either have to be 1 or 2 mm thicker or the central section of the front of the steelbook will have to be sunk/dropped by the same amount to accommodate the thicker lenti.

All 3 iron man lenticular images have excellent depth. I never claimed they had much movement ( which I consider unimportant). The 2 captain America lentis have good depth but the first one has alignment issues and the guardians lenticular is overall disappointment.
Out of curiosity have you actually opened all of them?

Iron man 3 looks okay but is a bit blurry and when I put it next to nova avengers or guardians, French looper, standard lentis like Sherlock Holmes etc it's an embarasement

I'm not too bothered about movement meaning they change pose and stuff but for instance guardian were all flat like they are standing in a line when groot is at the back and so on.
I like the art to this one but the washed out grinds me.

Yes I opened guardians - was faulty paint or image whatever you call it, i opened winter soldier which I don't mind but still a bit blurry and I opened iron man 3 but the case is loose and lenti not great.
Those are the 3 I ordered and would of kept them all if they were better.
Only keeping winter soldier.
Some I might get next year when cheaper but I'll defo dodge guardians (which is a shame because I wanted a colourful steel with them all on the front and I can't afford blu fans so was hoping this to be a good alternative and I was wrong)

Edit; just realised this is the iron man thread and for some reason thought it was the iron man 3 thread!

I turned my copy into a 2 disc with the extra disc from Ultimate edition amaray bluray. Spine is a little crinkled on the outside but it was my first time switching spines so im overal happy with it (and still have IM1 play.com)

I had to ruin the expendables 2 steelbook to get the plastic inlay lol
