Hi to all ninjas,

Just wanted your views to see what you think about the rap icon 2pac Shakur is he alive or dead as many of his fans claim he faked his death to avoid trouble and to get away from the limelight. Alot of people claim he's based in Cuba at the moment and is rapping under a different name to keep his identity hidden. MAKAVELI which fans claim he's giving a hint I'm alive, feel free to share your thoughts.

Thanks for your view PunkNinja, I believe he's dead it's been 19 years know but people still claim he's rapping under a new name Kasinova and you will be quiet amazed to hear he sounds quiet alot like 2pac.

Great post thanks for bringing this topic up Kasinova as Tupac is my favourite rapper.

I personally believe he is dead to but alot of people have bought some interesting stuff up such as he's faked his death to avoid being killed by his enemies as he had to many plus avoiding jail time as he was always in trouble with the law,his autopsy picture to many is claimed to be fake as he did not have Makaveli tattooed on his neck because that's what he changed his name to. The pic looks to be photoshoped from the bedscene from the music video of california love featuring Dr dre. His last pic taken with suge knight seems to be photoshoped aswell as I've seen an identical pic in which he's wearing an army outfit. If you watch the video of Amsterdam to La you would see 2pac sat next to rapper lamar in the car and this video was definitely made after 96 the year 2pac died although in the beginning it does say 96 but its not. Lamar has claimed 2pac is alive and he cant reveal more than that and the pics seen in the FBI file of him in the video
is probably him being protected by them into keeping his name put off the rap game.Alot of people know claim he's rapping under the new name of KASINOVA and he uses a cover up so his identity can't be revealed don't blame them as his voice does quiet sound like 2pac all I can say his hope he is alive and doing well and to all his fans keep ya head up...

Great thread @kasinova

For years I wanted to believe that he was still alive. 2Pac is and will always be the greatest rapper that ever graced the microphone! A true poet. Dear Mama is my favorite song of his. Even though now I firmly believe he's been dead since 1996, but his music will always live on :headphone:

And @SK 80, I knew he was your favorite  your avatar screams it! :woot:

I grew up with Tupac, he is the reason why I fall in love with rap 22 years ago. There will never be a better rapper/poet/true artist than him no doubt. But I never believed in these rumors, it don't make sense especially if you knew how Pac was. Let him rest in peace and keep up his legacy :notworthy:

The only one who comes for me close to him and who is my second favorite is Nas, like j.cole said "Pac was like Jesus and Nas wrote the bible" :notworthy::notworthy:

And why we talking about true artists, about rap legends: On Saturday the rapper Sean Price died at the age of 43 in his sleep :grumpy: He died on my 30th birthday wtf man :sour: Why all the best ones dropping away and we're left with our beloved music in the hands of frauds like all these meek mill, drake, Rick Ross bullsh*t :vomit::facepalm:

I think 2pac was a fraud in some respects. After seeing footage of him in high school, his whole persona had to be an act. From all appearances he was a drama kid, not a g'd up thug from the streets. I believe he was an excellent performer and actor.

I don't think it was about being influenced by anyone. He was already in the music industry as a back up dancer before he was a rapper. The guy was extremely bright and recognized an opportunity. He was a performer & actor who played a role very well.

No offense to you buddy but apparently you missed the whole point what Tupac was all about! Maybe also what Rap is all about! Sorry.

He never played a role, it's exactly what @PunkNinja said. Influences. He grew up surrounded by Black Panther activist with a big criminal background.
His dad was sentenced to 60 years in prison. His mother was pregnant with him in prison. He was into arts and poetry from the very beginning like he was into rap.
He moved the city 3 times till he was 17. NY, Baltimore than LA. And yeah he danced, he did also Ballet in Baltimore at School of Arts. And he said later it was the best time of his life in Baltimore.
Theres so much more what influenced him and his character. And being 18 in the hood of LA at that time without a father figure, with racism, with police brutality, with a big gang culture surrounded him and no money he surely did some things too.

It was the attitude and his persona that was a thug. It was more a Black Power thing and politically. He was a voice for the young black males in the 80s-90s at that time struggling with problems
like racism and thats what he told in his raps. He was telling stories about stuff that affected everything around him he wanted to point out.

You don't need to have killed people to be a Thug. People who are thinking like that are not meant to be listen to Rap music anyway.
It's not what the 50 cents and rick ross and the newspapers show you. Thats not Rap. Thats radio music. Rap is an art, its political, its a voice for people who are not possible to speak up for themselves.
Its about not having much money to go to music schools so you improvised music with a turntable and your voice.

Sorry my english is not the best, I would love to explain it to you in german. But you missed the whole point buddy. You can dance and be also a Thug. You can write poetry and also be a Thug.
And you can do Gangster Rap when you influenced your whole life with things like that. It's what the white folks saw in black young males at that time. Thugs. So he said OK we all be Thugs. Thug Life.

I have seen pretty much every documentary about Tupac and sadly the tragic truth is that he was mudered and I think a lot of people just hope this wasn't the case particularly as noone was ever charged with his murder, very sad loss :(

Marlon Wayans said:
“Me and Pac had a great relationship,” Wayans said. “You know what was great about Pac? Everybody think he was this thug, this gangster. First of all, he was a performance high school kid. Pac was very smart and he was very silly. He was a clown. He wasn’t real gangster but he acted gangster. He was a method actor, so he went a little too far. He was like, ‘Oh, I’ll shoot you!’ Pow! He’d really shoot you. He’d overcommit. I could tell he wasn’t a gangster because he had the softest hands. No gangster has hands [like that], I call him a Palmolive thug. He’d be like, ‘Come here, you want some of this,’ and then he’d give you this gentle hand. It was soft. Then he had these long eyelashes looking like [Mr.] Snuffleupagus, just like, ‘You don’t want none of this. I’m thug!’

..

You still don't get it huh  and you don't even get what Marlon Wayans was trying to say

He's not saying Pac was not real or not from the streets. He was trying to say that Pac was no idiot. No stupid gangster. He had a vision beyond that normal gangster thing. Get your facts straight and stop quoting Marlon Wayans for facts buddy. He met him 94 at a movie set. My hands would also be palmolive soft on a movie set. Google some of the guys Pac dissed at that time. Google Jimmy Henchman or King Tut. Pac was a stand up guy, true to his words and never backed down for anything. But he was not running around with two Mac 10s shooting people for no reason or because they wore the wrong color. To be a stand up guy and to be true to your words is probably the best definition of whats they mean with being a gangster. Not shooting people, be real.

And that whole Thug thing was a mirror to the society who was prejudging the whole black youth to be thugs and gangsters. He was the speaker for that generation so he said we are all thugs okay let it be known, THUG LIFE till we die. He rapped about social ills of his community and tried to uplift and empower his people. For him it was a totally different meaning of Thug. He tried to be a leader of his generation and he truly was.

I think it is right that you don't listen to Tupac because you would transport his message totally wrong. No offense buddy really but you can't diss an true artist like Tupac with facts that are so wrong.
