Congrats @Mickle_89 . Let me know which is favourite?
You made the right choice buddy ;) Out of both lentis, I think I prefer the blood effect on B rather than the depth on A :D:thumbs:

I LOVE depth lentis  and A is good (better in-hand rather than pics), but not spectacular.... Both worthy of owning and looking forward to my rainbow Fullslip arriving :hilarious:

might be a stupid question but can you take the protective film off of the lenti? Im talking about the one directly on the lenti itself, i dont like the ugly wrinkles.

Fullslip and Lenti Type A were both in MINT Condition including all Bonus Items, only when I removed Shrink Wrap from both editions that I noticed the damage when playing with light...but I could see when unwrapped first thing that popped was the discoloration back of Steel which lead me closer inspection and discovered those so @Flloydo you are not alone.

I have now opened all 3 and it's a real mess in terms of quality. Along with my damaged slips, all steelbooks look just as bad as yours Actarus. Even if I requested new ones from Tony I'm sure nothing would change for better. With a lot of scratches, there seems to be these ugly splotchs under the coating. Otherwise I like steelbook design very much, but it does look a bit bad with these flaws. Also I'd advice to be very careful with the booklet inside the steelbook. Mine had some glue on between booklet and the envelope! If I hadn't been careful the front page would had ripped off :ohno:. I really wish they would improve more on quality. I buy often from kimchi and I open all of my copies, but far too many times there seems to be issues.

Now to the good things. Full slip is sturdy good package and feels really good in your hands. IMO The booklet is much better compared to what comes with lenticulars. Lenticular A is the most appealing to me from the 3. It does look really great once shrink-wrap is removed. Lenticular B is my least favorite.

@Actarus @Hamill82
Very unpleasant, I'm sorry to see and read about the blatant issues with your copies. Compared to this, I better stop complaining. Fingers crossed you guys can work it out with Tony and the replacement copies arrive in perfect shape.

@ainsleyb
Yes, of course you can remove the protective film from the lenti(s). See the attached picture:

Just use your fingernail and gently move it under one of the wrinkles. It lifts off easily.

Happy to help.

It looks great unless under direct light and I have the same issue regarding faint scuffs all over the steelbook. There are small white lines in the lenticular (I got type B) that kind of look like dead pixels. Minor but noticeable. Came packed excellently and no damage in transit, just the finish.

@Hamill82 very sorry to hear for you it was more than the steel, what a mess ! Thanks for confirming about the Steel defects that your 3 steels also are in the same conditions as my 2 copies, I am not happy to hear about it, but when I also opened my second copy, I had a hunch that these defects would be on more than my own copies, what are the odds of my 2nd copy different edition to also have those defect on the steel. :(

That goes for you as well @garabe very sorry :ugh:

But in hands those defects do not look as bad as when taken on pictures. They could have been perfect ideally, and should have been, as this is our hard earned money we put towards theses premium editions.

Thanks for the Thoughts and kind words @CleverLoginName

Yes,I believe you gotta to see the full lenti effect, which is very nice :)

I openned both lentis cause they looked scratched
I wanted to open the fullslip only
but now its staying sealed
the scratch for B was on the protective film
no scratches on the lenti
there are some minor ones on A
but the one steelbook I openned is full of scratches
will open the other one and then write to Kimchi

sorry to hear about all those damaged copies but i remember the first pictures of the steelbook before it went live to preorder and those were already a bad sign as multiple scratches and scuffs were noticeable

those pictures made me hesitate about ordering but i guess it was the great packaging that finally made me order lenti B which in the meanwhile arrived safely but i'm still undecided about opening my copy

I am happy I opened my both copies Fullslip and Lenti A as in hands those imperfections are not that bad, pictures make them look worse but on such a release for a Full Gloss Steel (Deep Black most of the steel) should have been extra precaution taken. Kimchi received them shrink wrapped I would assume as they would not shrink wrap that many damaged steel, so Scanavo must have shipped them to Kimchi shrink wrapped and for Kimchi being Unable to know if they are damaged or not. They trust the manufacturer to offer brand new undamaged copies. I believe it is the manufacture's responsibility to ensure all steels are Mint.

Are the bonus items inside the Steelbook. I can't see Scanavo shipping them out shrinkwrapped. I presume they send them out empty so the different retailers can add their individual items.

Yeah art cards, envelope, blu collectors card and book (for the lentis) are inside the steel.
I also would of thought kimchi shrinkwrapped them

Really horrible seeing the amount of people affected. A real shame. So far this would go down as a favourite for 2016 for me but the imperfections are taking it away from it a tad

No actually Lenti A small Boooklet, envelop for Pictures are Inside the Steelbook,
Fullslip Booklet is within Fullslip, but the envelop with the art card are also within the Steelbook

so I guess you are right... although the spots that look like steels haven't fully dried properly that I imagine happened at Scanavo...it's not a scratch it looks a bit similar like when Blufans Wall-e had the not being fully dried issue...but in a different way as they are not straight lines but more random spots.

I gave in to the hype and went to see this in theaters (well, it was only playing in one theater in my area) and walked away pretty disappointed but I fell in love with the Lenti Type B and grabbed a copy directly from kimchi. I didn't expect them to have any in stock so I was pleasantly surprised - and, just my luck, they happened to still have copies of the best one IMO. Who knows - maybe I'll grow to like the film after another viewing.

same thing for me, I have no recollection of seeing it with my friend which insists we saw it together  ...but on my allegedly 2nd viewing I really enjoyed it

In the beginning, the beach scene showing the body of the girl upside down with her legs folded over her and one broken very graphic I thought was very artistically done in its darkness as it was creepy

All those damaged copies... It just seems like retailers are not bothering anymore with quality control as they know that a big percentage of collectors keep their copies sealed anyway :censored::whistle::confused:

Majority of customers open the releases it's a small percentage who keep them sealed for whatever reasons they have

Steelbooks now mainstream product and is why you see the film studios release new films as a steelbook and do lots of re releases around the world especially in Europe/Asia
