Looks like the reprint could be the one to have, especially if france has also got the scratch.

Received the replacements and honestly think the first lot is better even though it has the very faint line...The replacements came with that vertical "looks like a spine slash" under the wrap and the border embossing issue

I've noticed that some people on eBay are selling the replacement, and getting the same amount for it more or less as the scratched one. I also noticed eBay was flooded with Jack Reacher SteelBooks, so obviously a lot of people who received their replacements are selling one or the other to cash in, hence the drop in price

Even so, it's still one of the rarest SteelBook releases with only 1,000 UK copies (I understand other countries also had the same release, albeit with different J-cards). I think once the initial batch of SteelBooks has sold through on eBay, we'll start to see the price rise again. The price has only dropped because supply is favourable, but once the supply runs down and demand increases, the prices will once again rise

There was a manufacturing defect on steelbook. a mark on the front right of steelbook. Very hard to see.

This was re produced and sent out to all.

Is it a pic of this "line defect" somewhere that I can see?

I doubt that. I think the first hype wave is long gone and prices will not rise, IMO. I don't think there is anything special about this steelbook at all, as it has nothing to distinguish itself from all the other ones. I think the prices have dropped first when Blufans release came out. Now the Korean one is out as well. Of course this is just my opinion but I think this is the plainest release of all, along with Czech, French, etc. For this reason, I do not think the prices will be high as there are better alternatives available.

yeap the price is gone now too many releases only a very small Minority of people care about a slip after all its the steelbook you buy it for.

Never rated this steel highly at all, a few shill bids and inflates sales rocketed the prices ridiculously high by one individual who can no longer keep doing this and the prices now come crashing down again.

the defect is not visible in photos its very hard to see it.

Its mostly visible if you hold the steelbook at an angle in the light.

Its found on the right side of the steelbook and it goes from top to bottom but its a very faint straight line.

Thanks for the info guys! Really appreciate the intel. I ordered the France Steelbook after seeing the movie for the first time and loving it. So fingers crossed... Hope it comes minty fresh!

Have to agree with you on that one. I have the same "looks like a spine slash" on my replacement, but i'm wondering if it actually is one tbh ? End of the day it's a free copy so i can't really complain
