Old infos:
Note About Ordering From Entertainment Store said:
They will ONLY DELIVER TO UK ADDRESSES AT THE MOMENT.

A way around this: (confirmed by retailer thats its ok)

1) Order directly but add a UK HDN members address for delivery
OR
2) Ask a UK HDN member to kindly order it for you

So please be careful when ordering because if you've put an address outside the UK your order will be most likely be cancelled by Play.

Personally I reckon the Blufans version will be a more beautiful package as a whole, the real appeal with this UK one will lie with the very limited run

If you are opening them to watch (heaven forbid! :p) then you may well be better off with the version with Finnish subs

Depends how you like to collect bud ;)

Yes, I am one of the fews here who opens EVERY steelbook I get. Even the most rarest ones.

This kinda kills my excitement for BluFans version because it's the same artwork again. I have liked BluFans steelbooks because they have used art that hasn't been used in any other releases. Like with Rio and Farewell My Concubine.

Not ordering, over priced IMO for a global release. What is exactly special about this except for a limited run (how many?). Too many unknowns for my liking.

Sticking with the BluFans release but may buy this after release once the unknowns are known :hilarious:

People are buying this because they expect it to go up in value?

Says all you need to know about this "hobby", these days.

It's not a game I am playing. For £28, I'd want it hand delivered by Tom Cruise.

Fair play mate. I still haven't got round to opening all my amarays yet :p

Well it seems Jack Reachers are all from the same global print run (AU, NL, etc) so the Blufans version will no doubt have more effort put into the 'extras' with regards to the packaging etc which will set it apart

I have nothing against the company, but I've been waiting to see if the UK does get this or I was going to reluctantly order the French version, but I do object to this price. I understand the low print run, but I open mine and watch the films. So I would be in two minds about ordering this and this would put me off, but the French version wouldn't be much cheaper with the postage costs. I think if a company does this sort of thing, they should do two different versions with different artwork and one cheaper with a normal print run, so we can choose. That way the serious collector would choose the short print run version and the casual collector, who watches the films, could choose the cheaper, longer print run version. I hope this is the first and last of this kind of short print run, expensive Steelbook.

Either buy or don't buy, open or keep sealed, the choice is yours.....

Personally purchasing the one, just for me, to open and watch.....I like to collect steelbooks, that's it...

Hmm.... really wanted a UK Jack Reacher steelbook, the price is high but very tempted to buy regardless. I'm an opener, a watcher and I generally keep all of my steels regardless cause that's why I buy them so sell on value is less of an issue for me. On the otherhand I paid 22quid for Life of PI so whats the difference in a fiver. I'll sleep on it.

I hope Zavvi would get an exclusive of this. It is a good £10 more than I would like to pay but do I take the risk in not pre-ordering? I'm sure this will be another scalped title when the word spreads.

I paid the £24 asking price for Prometheus because, in the end although I wasn't a huge fan of the film it was a gorgeous steel.. This film I like, but £28 and a dull as heck steel means I'll be waiting for a price drop on the French one..

I imagine the only way they can afford to release it at all is to share the production costs with everyone else who's using the same artwork. Scanavo already have the production line set up to emboss and print these, so it would be relatively cheap for them to run off an extra one or two thousand. To commission, design, and manufacture a steelbook with unique artwork would be much more expensive.
