Old infos:
Note About Ordering From Entertainment Store said:
They will ONLY DELIVER TO UK ADDRESSES AT THE MOMENT.

A way around this: (confirmed by retailer thats its ok)

1) Order directly but add a UK HDN members address for delivery
OR
2) Ask a UK HDN member to kindly order it for you

So please be careful when ordering because if you've put an address outside the UK your order will be most likely be cancelled by Play.

thought mine didn't have the faint line, but after checking and checking it, it does, only shows up at a certain angle and is very faint but could be on the shrinkwrap and not on the steel.

So with so many now being reported, it has to be a manufacturing defect as others have stated.

I won't bother sending it back if all the copies have it and besides can only see it at a certain angle so may as well just keep it

I checked my copy twice in daylight and couldn't spot anything. Tried having a look again just now under a spotlight and after a few seconds I noticed the scratch/line most of you are mentioning... thankfully it's very hard to see and is obviously no fault of ES, so it's not worth kicking up a fuss IMO.

On another note, I'm pretty impressed with how Entertainment Store dealt with this release. Their customer service sounds top-notch, and they got the steelbooks sent out quickly and well packaged (wasn't up to Play's or Zavvi's standards, but it's still a lot better than most). I'd say they did a very good job with their first major steelbook exclusive... I look forward to more, only I'd rather they weren't so limited so that the prices weren't as high (I don't care too much about numbers). But yeah, great job!

Bad news :( Looks nice and am looking to get the French version once confirmed its confirmed 100% to be a steel but those lines are a pain in the ass, theyre on loads of steels and very hard to notice, but once you do...... another case of crap quality control (not ES's fault of course)

I checked all 27 copies for my group buy and they appeared mint.

I have already boxed some of them up, I only worry that if this line is incredibly faint/ impossible to see from certain angles I might have missed one or two.

Mine is very faint, had to hold it up to the light and move it around to see it.

I will be amazed if any of these don't have the scratch. I appreciate that some people don't go over every steel with a meticulous eye, but I personally do. Most steels have a defect of some description, paint chip, particle under the paint, hairline scratch etc.

All I wanted to establish was if this was a.manufacturing issue and I believe it is. As such, its not a fault of the retelailer and IMO its not worth returning them.

I am disappointed that a £28 steel has a fault, but hey ho. Im sure the blufans release will have the same issue

If it wasn't the slashed spine I doubt I would have bothered sending the email. Like you said its very faint and the fact that I didn't see it straight away shows how minor it is.

Have to agree with you on Entertainment Store, they seem to know what they are doing. The packaging is pretty good, does the job so far. They can definitely be re-used aswell. I was able to pack it back up ready to be sent back with no issues at all. Customer service is fantastic, it was no more than a minute between me sending my email and getting a reply. I certainly don't have any gripes with them over the steelbook. So far so good, looking forward to see what they bring out next.

I'm betting all 27 copies have the score mark to some degree. It's VERY hard to see and you have to move the cover from side to side to see it. I thought my copies didn't have it either, but after re-reading the posts here and then inspecting again, they both do.

I'm not going to bother trying to get replacements though. It's obviously the way the whole run has been produced, so trying to get an unmarked one will be near impossible. Besides which it's so faint that it's barely visible under most lighting conditions.

A slashed spine would have been far worse.

Slashed spines are a different story mate, so I don't blame you for wanting a replacement. I'm glad to hear they dealt with the problem quickly and professionally anyway... here's hoping your replacement arrives slash-free!

Received mine this morning as well. I woke up to the postie ringing my doorball which I was annoyed about until I remembered what he was delivering!

Mine has the line too, its very faint, it literally looks like like a fine hair so i'm not too worried about it

Yep mine has it too - really hard to see but it's there. For me it isn't worth sending it back, and I'm not sure what good it would do anyway. Seems to be a manufacturing error.

Whatever it is, don't let this put you off - its a B.E.A.Utiful steel.
