Old infos:
Note About Ordering From Entertainment Store said:
They will ONLY DELIVER TO UK ADDRESSES AT THE MOMENT.

A way around this: (confirmed by retailer thats its ok)

1) Order directly but add a UK HDN members address for delivery
OR
2) Ask a UK HDN member to kindly order it for you

So please be careful when ordering because if you've put an address outside the UK your order will be most likely be cancelled by Play.

I'm actually happy so I've got 2 jack reachers for £28. I wasn't bothered by the mark so Ill open and watch, like I was going to do, and can keep my replacement sealed or trade it.

It's still a limitied steel and ES have done very well with sorting this out. I would of been happy with just a few £ back.

Anyone else had this through just now?

Hi,

Thank you for purchasing a copy of the Jack Reacher Entertainment Store Exclusive Steelbook.

Our supplier (Paramount Home Entertainment (UK)) has informed us of a manufacturing issue whereby there is a very fine scratch running down the right hand side of the front cover.

As this is our first exclusive Steelbook, we want to make sure you have the beautiful mint Steelbook you ordered, not one with a scratch down the front.

Paramount has kindly offered to arrange for re-manufacture of the entire run of 500 Steelbooks (and no more). We, The Entertainment Store, will be automatically sending out a replacement copy to you free of charge.

There is no need to return the defective version you originally received – you are free to keep this.

However, if you have chosen or do choose to return your original copy to us for a refund then we will not be able to send you a replacement free of charge.

Creating new stock will take several weeks and this means you can expect to receive your replacement copy around w/c 27th May 2013.

Thank you for your patience with this matter, and apologies for any inconvenience caused.

Regards,

Just had the same email. Didn't see that coming as an option!

Brilliant news, glad Paramount have done this, and so they bloody should, their cock up. It is good they have supported a new company on their first exclusive and thankyou ES for keeping us all informed, their customer service has been first class throughout.

It's a shame this happened and they've now technically upped the print-run to 1k, but I still feel they've dealt with the problem perfectly. Hats off to ES and Paramount! :notworthy:

Incredible.

I know some people might be unhappy that there are going to be more copies in circulation, but in doing this Entertainment Store have shown real commitment to providing the best quality product possible, as well the highest standards of customer service. When was the last time a retailer had a steelbook re-manufactured due to a flaw?

For me they deserve major credit for this, and have shown themselves a company worthy of repeat business.

I dont mind, increasing the run to 1000 is no biggie to me. Im happy firstly got 2 copies for 28 quid and secondly well done ES i think they handled this very well indeed and the response of a free copy is very welcome. I honestly thought this was going to end up with something like a £2 voucher like the other retailers would have offered. This is a good ending to scratchgate for me and I think fellow Ninjas will agree yet again fantastic customer service. They really do deserve to do well and I hope they do.

Well, there should be 500 mint and 500 defective. Let's face it, the mint ones will still have a higher demand in the secondary market.

I think ES are now my favourite store. I'll happily order any exclusive they get in future.

something to distinguish the reprint would make the first 500 just as collectable in my eyes... how about JACK REACHER embossed in yellow!

For those that haven't already, don't forget to leave them some feedback on Play.com by going in to your order history. I'm sure they'd appreciate it after all the effort they've put in to giving us a perfect steelbook. :)

Unbelievable. Top marks to ES as far as I'm concerned.
The new print will be easily distinguishable from the old one. There'll be no scratch. (Hopefully)

:scat:

My new favourite retailer.

I have no idea what happens now - I have a replacement scratched copy on route (before I knew it was all of them), that was dispatched on Monday, and haven't received an email from them today about this. I don't know what I'll be getting.

Has anyone else NOT received an email today about the reprint?
