Why this cover image? I thought people liked the other one?... Damn it.

This cover was used because of;

1. It was the most voted.
2. It is the main cover art used for goldeneye, ala Nintendo 64.
3. Everyone wanted the Gold Spine on this cover.

I would have liked the gold spine, but I think this art is more "limited" release while the other one was more "part of a collection" release. Being that there is no "steelbook collection" to match it with (bestbuy doesn't count). I think this was the obvious choice.

Maybe it's just me showing my age, but I like the old Bond posters, I like a poster where a lot is going on.

Don't like these modern day posters/Blu Ray artwork, where it's just the main character, and a bland background, for example the Bourne posters, not too bad, just not very exciting.

Imagine a steelbook with this on it:

EDIT----

Ah, I've done it again, I don't want to directly take the site owners image, I just want to link to it, could someone fix it please? I don't know what I'm doing.

Play are now showing the inside art. It's a big picture of The Bronhomme with a gun. Try not to die of shock or anything.

Also, did it always say 2 disc? I didn't notice that before. I wonder if they're including the 2nd disc of extras from the DVD release, or if it's a DVD/Digital copy?

If they're releasing the extras discs with the individual releases, the people buying the Bond box set (still me at the moment) will be rather annoyed.

Play have changed the listing to show this as being a 2 Bluray Disc release, for the same price:

http://www.play.com/DVD/Blu-ray/4-/35739618/0/James-Bond-GoldenEye/ListingDetails.html

A welcome move for Bond fans i'm sure, but i wonder why Play could not of done the same for their more exciting & popular exclusives, such as Transformers, Iron Man 1, 2, and Watchmen

...anyway if you will excuse me, i need to continue tracking down the missing bonus discs from the above releases separately on ebay. Hopefully there wont be too many other completionists bidding up the price :ugh:

I wonder what the second disc will be? A DVD or digital copy perhaps.

^^^ I think its a bonus bluray disc because if it was a dvd they normally market it as a "Double Play" Steelbook and mention dvd in the listing's title info.

I hope so but I can't imagine what can be on it. They can fit the film and the extras on one Blu-ray if they really wanted to. I guess it depends how many of the extras are in high definition though.

not a fan, but i have to say, not a good steelbook!!

I am a fan, get what you're saying, but I think it's alright. Grown on me actually, the more I've seen it. I didn't like it at all when I saw it, but I ordered it as soon as it was available.

Good news that it's a 2 disc.

Think this will easily sell out.

Thanks for that Ashcroft, If it is the same as that then I still don't see why that can't go on 1 disc. My guess is the second disc will either contain the bonus features you mentioned or will be a DVD copy of the film.
