I saw this at least twice in the theatre when it was released. This is easily my favourite Ridley Scott film.

35th anniversary this year. I love the soundtrack as well. I still listen to the CD. Score by Hans Zimmer. Love the Gregg Allman song and Iggy Pop's "Living on the Edge of the Night" as well as UB40's "The Way You Do The Things You Do".

Not sure I can live with the banner. I don't mind the info on the back, I can get past that - it's the blue banner...no, I just couldn't.
£40 is quite steep. Maybe if it was £15 I could force myself to put up with Mr Blue Banner

*Sorry, none of this is about Jaws. We've gone wildly off topic.

Same here. I've got quite a few older german steels that have printed backs, upside-down spines, and the odd blu-ray logo on the front bottom right.. I can live with that, particularly the later. I'm not spending any real money on them though, and the blue banner is where I absolutely draw the line as a complete nono.

It does look pretty good, and I don't mind the blue banner, especially here, where it's not as distracting due to color pallette.
@samdavies is just jealous he doesn't own such a rare, expensive steel. :naughty:

interesting how its only 10€ extra for the poster there.. i thought they used paper so fancy that even the extra 20gbp in the uk were such a bargain

21.06,, had most of these Editions cancelled by A.UK,... fkers .... // shipping to Germany...

Anyone else?
Yep. Amazon cancelled loads of orders earlier today, including those to UK addresses. Jaws and Blade Runner specifically, as they're most popular, but apparently the other releases too. I'm guessing they've oversold from their "stock fluctuation" jargon.

My problem with fnac.com is that in the past they used a wrong image to advertise the previous edition of Jaws from The Film Vault: title was in English in the image ("Jaws") but then they sent the French version ("Les Dents de la mer")

Edit: I can see that they write "film - Import" for some of the titles. Then I hope that it will be fine.

Yep mine were cancelled an hour ago here in the UK and I ordered within the hour of them going live on Amazon, so they must have very limited stock or eBay traders were ordering in the hundreds.

Orbit has (or had) all of the smaller re-issues up for preorder a few weeks ago and I snagged Jaws and Goodfellas. Great range of Collector's Editions. They may still have preorders available for some.
