Mine arrived with a tear in the seal with a scratch behind that, contacted proxis and they said if I send it back they will send a replacement which will be better packaged.

Reply from Bol.com customer service about my damaged Steels:

Wow. That was completely unexpected as thought I will have to follow up constantly about the return. Now I can peacefully open the Steel. :)

Thanks for your e-mail and contacting us.

Very sad to hear the Steelbooks arrived to you in damaged condition. This is not the right way to receive an item from our webshop.

At the moment I will cancel your return so you will receive your money back within 5 working days. I will do this because I will spare you a lot of trouble to send it back to us, because you live in Great Britian. You can maintain the items or you can do with it whatever you want.

If you really want to receive the items again then you can decide to place a new order. I hope it will arrive to you in good shape.

Sorry for the inconvenience and sorry for my bad English. I hope you have understand me properly. If not, please do not hestitate to contact us.

I want to wish you a very nice day.
Those Dutch people are not too bad hey ;)
Just what I expected... Bol.com has one of the best customer services out there. I am a customer with them for almost 15 years now and they never let me down

Well, I'll start by singing the song of our people - yes the packaging for this from Proxis was poor compared to what we'd hope for (but not worse than Amazon.fr and their cardboard slivers of hopelessness ).
BUT this is a stunning steel and mine was lucky enough to arrive in mint condition - the quality of this and the French edition have really got me uncertain about jumping on a Nova copy tomorrow, but then again this image in a lenti... :hungry::hungry::hungry:

You can add amazon.it, amazon.es and now amazon.co.uk

I've not had a reply yet either.. I don't like having to return stuff and I don't have access to a working printer at the moment so if I need to print return forms out in stuffed.

From the NL across the pond to the desert in a bag?

Man I'm nervous.

I'm nervous for you. On occasion steels surprisingly arrive undamaged in a jiffy but more often than not there is damage so my fingers are crossed for you.

I know zavvi haven't got the best packaging but I'll take their boxes over a jiffy any day.

Thanks for the uplifting words @chunk . This bag of steel has a long travel, I truly expect a train wreck when/if it arrives

Never again will I shop with them.. I wouldn't even give them my money via a gb.
We will send in better packaging next time???? If they'd sent in decent packaging the first time I wouldn't have a dented bent steel.

Does anyone know how much this would cost to send from the UK back to proxis?

And they say if the postage is too high they would give me a €5 voucher.. what an earth would I want a voucher for when I'd never shop with them again.. sorry for the  post but these guys are something else
