Oh man- I actually might get this one.
This movie is so grossly incompetent and hilariously directed that I had so much fun laughing at the sheer stupidity of this film. xD

This might be my first “ownership out of irony” Steelbook. xD

Lol that’s what I thought

Ah- it was just a fun time for me in the theatre. I really loved the philosophical dialogue and character development that the original Jurassic Park had to offer.
Jurassic World was fun in different aspects, and I enjoyed laughing at some of the decisions that were made with the film:

- Shooting the "communication" between Dinosaurs in a shot-reverse-shot manner like an actual conversation was funny to me... and for a brief second, I thought that the film would have the audacity to put subtitles over the Raptor's and Super-Rex's exchange.
- The inconsequential plot threads that were brought up and then subsequently never mentioned again (the parents divorce)
- Shallow characters in the form of... everyone.
- Intentionally timed comedic beats to character deaths that seemed tone deaf
- Chris Pratt riding a motorcycle alongside raptors
- Vincent D'oforio's 'plan' being hilariously dumb, in the way that it seems like he has the imagination of a 5 year-old
- The film feeling like it's being pulled in 7 different directions by the 7 different writers attached to the project (not including those that asked to have their name removed from the project)
- The ENTIRE final action sequence.
- And the 'respect' that the Super Rex and the Raptor showed each other at the end of the film felt like the most ham-fisted thing to happen that year in cinema... like I think that if their arms were slightly longer- Colin Trevorrow would have had them 'Bro-Fist' one another.

There was just so much to be enjoyed about this film. I mean- I don't like the film itself, but I find enjoyment in it in the same manner that I find enjoyment in the Super Mario Bros. movie- because I find every creative decision questionable... I find every intention juvenile... and I think that this film is a perfect microcosm indicative of the '2015' Action Blockbuster in a hyper-real setting. It was a blast to watch in cinemas because the audience I was with had a great time laughing at the film.

But that's just my opinion. :p
