I don't really consider them "re-releases" if the country they're being released in hasn't already had a steelbook release for that particular film... and especially when the artwork is new. I know there is/was a few members on here who only collected UK steelbooks, so I imagine this will be great news for them. :)

I already own a few Kill Bill steels and I don't plan on stopping any time soon... as long as they have different artwork, then bring 'em on! Whether we had the choice to vote for the interior art or not, I'd still probably buy this (depending on whether the exterior art is actually new). Personally, I just see it as a really cool bonus that we get to vote for the interior art. :D

Whoah...I was on the verge of buying the German vol 1+2 steel at the weekend but decided to hang on in the hope of a future UK steel with (hopefully) rear artwork rather than the printed info and then see this

2nd pic for me..

Not many people limit themselves to releases from a single country, most who do are new collectors and eventually buckle and start collecting intentional releases. It's not so much the fact that these are re-releass but the fact that it's one Steelbook for both films. I just think separate releases are a better option. What happens if QT eventually makes the third film that has been rumoured for so long? Separate titles make sense, double sets like this one don't.

Anyway I think we've voted for inside art enough, when will we get to votes for the outside art? :scat:

I have a feeling that it will be a steelbook with debossing on both sides, and each side will be the artwork of 1 film

I don't know, I've never seen "official" numbers or anything to confirm what we're saying, but the majority of collectors I know personally mostly just buy UK steels and only the occasional international steel (like myself), mainly because it's both easier and cheaper.

I understand your point and I do agree... separate steelbooks would be better, but they may also work out to be more expensive, both for us and the retailers. Unfortunately that's a risk we run with most films nowadays though... sequels/prequels etc are getting made more than ever right now, so it can be a hard one to call.

PS. I voted for #2 in the end. :D
