Haha, exactly I remember after Drive I was ready to book a flight and have a "word", lol! I did actually boycott them for a while after that shambles and they didn't improve either! But, I'm a weak individual and caved in eventually. Their releases are too good for my principles to stand in the way.

I went with Aniv's GB on this but have their servers really improved?

Huge improvement. So smooth and fast I wasn't sure it went through!

I think there's a general decrease in interest for these premium steels, perhaps attributable to the hefty price tags in part, but it's more likely the choice of titles IMO. It always seems to be the same films being chosen for premium treatment (mostly Disney or Marvel stuff) so I think if maybe these premium guys branch out there may be a resurgence. Wasn't FilmArena doing Shawshank Redemption, Papillon and other Warner properties? That's a good start I think.

Older title but priced pretty reasonable. It may be in stock for a couple days, not much longer I suspect, we'll see. I'm sure when John Wick 2 is released things will be different. Probably sell out in minutes, not days. Like the good old days!!

Unfortunately the last couple have been in stock a looooooong time except terminator (of recent novas anyway) plus their NC don't shift anymore but John wick will guarantee be a instant sell out. Maybe slip B will last 10 mins longer lol

And let's not forget this is the 4th Kill Bill release after Canada, USA & UK.

I won't miss this much as I am happy with the glossy Zavvi Steels that I got for 9 each.

People normally purchase as soon as a steelbook goes live or on eBay. There's a huge influx initially then it dies down. Steelbooks normally sell out in the first hour or after a substantial amount of time. At least that's what I've found

Find it interesting that most of these are WEA. The print runs are normally way up there.

I don't think anyone who's visited this thread in the last four months has any doubt how you feel about the Zavvi steels.
One more mention of them and I'll have to add "Zavvi's (super) glossy Kill Bill steelbooks" to the lgans316 bingo card.

As for this release, I folded and went for the one-click. The box itself just looks too sweet.
Here's hoping the inevitable Vol 2 box is equally appealing.

11 for the Zavvi Steels Vs 40 for this. !!! Going to be a whole bloody expensive affair.

The new Zavvi Steelbook looks stunning in flesh thanks to high gloss finiah.

Not blown away. The Zavvi Steelbooks still represents best value for money for a high quality super gloss finish with excellent artwork on the front and back.

One thing for sure this is going to cost us nearly 4 times the price what I paid to Zavvi.

Those super gloss UK Steels gives this one a run for its money.

UK Steels with full gloss finish for 9.99 each would suffice for me.

At present the super glossy UK Steels I had purchased for 18 would do.

So far happy with my super glossy UK Steelbooks with good artwork.
