With all the risk of receiving a dented copy after paying a huge custim feeThere's also going to be a UHD MoD release, but I think not in steelbook, so you'd have to buy it twice...

It’s my issue with the Sonic movie universe, they are alright films but the need to have them in the real world involving a lot of human characters was always a bizzare choiceUnexpected. Show was a bit hit and miss tbh. Knuckles was hilarious, but wade (and his family) were flat asf. Steel is decent. Meh front, great back.
Like the recent Mario movie, that was good.Really wish they’d have set in completely on Mobius with iconic locations like Green Hill, Angel Island and the like.
While I would normally agree with you the biggest things I remember from the first film were because it was set in the real world, the Sonic model redesign was a big PR win for the film and Jim Carrey. Take those away and I'm not sure there's anything especially notable left, certainly we've had a lot of animated Sonic stuff which never really broke into the mainstream. It’s my issue with the Sonic movie universe, they are alright films but the need to have them in the real world involving a lot of human characters was always a bizzare choice

Kind of wished they just made it completely animated using the Sonic Mania shorts animation or something like the original OVA film
Oh yeah Jim Carey is good as Robotnik but just as a personal preference if you could have an animated film and keep him as the voice then it would have been great. While I would normally agree with you the biggest things I remember from the first film were because it was set in the real world, the Sonic model redesign was a big PR win for the film and Jim Carrey.
