Cheers for the heads up. Going to order now. I assume they'll honour my o brother where art thou order as well as I have a confirmation email
Your order will be ok it's happens sometimes a release go live by error early it use to happen a lot with the Disney steelbooks a few years ago and I always got my order dispatched

Sometimes a listing can also go live when been added to the system and you can be lucky to order before they hide it on the website

Would have preferred the Amaray top half artwork as the steelbook front and the artwork below the title on the back.

Now, I realise that splitting single posters over both sides of a steelbook can be controversial and doesn't always work well as on the recent KK: SKULL ISLAND steelbook for example.

That being said, the same images for L.A. CONFIDENTIAL have been done to death having been used as covers going back to good ol' VHS days . . . so this new cover . . . which is after all the official logo for the film . . . could be seen as a refreshing change when compared to what's gone before.

In conclusion - certainly different to the same ol' artwork used where the main difference appears to be Kevin Spacey changing from a black jacket to a white one (lol).

On a serious note - the differences between this 20th Anniversary release and previous UK releases from 2009 / 2013 will only be the audio - as far as I can gather - to DTS-HD Master Audio from Dolby TruHD.
Not a 4K re-master that I can see (such as the recent HEAT from the same studio) and the ref. to a "new disc" probably refers to a slightly higher encode (?) TBC
. . . and, anyway, the previous release IS highly rated with tons of Extras:-

As for a 4K UHD release of LA CONFDENTIAL . . .

Thank you

Maybe missing one or two.

DTS Master 5.1 - English
DTS 5.1 - Castellano

Dolby 1.0 -Spanish

Subtitles:-
English SDH, English, Spanish (Latin Spanish), French (Parisian), Castilian, Danish, Finnish, Norwegian, Portuguese (Brazilian), Swedish, Mandarin (Traditional)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Definitely a different encode of MPEG-4 AVC on this new steelbook release (and on the just released Amaray). . . from the VC-1 of the previous release . . . and whatever one thinks about the benefits of one encode over the other I think it's generally accepted that the AVC encode is superior.
As for it having been re-mastered in 4K - seems unlikely . . . would have been mention on the net . . . I'd also have expected to see announced a nice doorstop gift set 20th Anniversary number at around this time.

As for the previous Blu-ray AQ / PQ there's this very upbeat review:-
