The Japanese steelbook looks gorgeous with well balanced artwork and full gloss finish and like this one somewhat tarnished by excessive print on the back cover.

The retro Full Slip looks this biz and would make a stellar package if it contained the Best Buy white 'n' blue steelbook . . . with the design on the steelbook back reflecting the design on the back of the Full Slip:-

I'm on the fence between buying the lenti, waiting for a possible separate premium release, or buying the U.K. SteelBook. It's too bad they had to place the credits on the back.

You guys really like that fullslip? Probably in minority here but I think it´s fugly. Special box cannot be any more boring, so for me the easy winner is lenti, which has finally artwork with some background making a nice depth I believe. Only problem is too much similarity with steelbook . So either I grab lenti or special box, keep only 1/4 slip and then get rid of the "special" box and everything in it. 1/4 is actually pretty nice.

Yes ;)

Glad there is a alternative ending . . . a common reaction from girlfriends to the "regular" ending is "F--k that movie" 'cause they feel cheated.

Uh, not really an alternate ending. It's just the regular movie cut short.

Doesn't fix any of the story and anyone who wanted a happy ending didn't get the movie at all.

When Damien tried to get the movie done in 2010, the studios wanted the fairy tale ending, but it was not his vision for the movie. He then decided to shelve the project until proper time. He did Whiplash for the sole purpose to get a name for himself, so he could finally do ''La La Land'' as it was in his vision.
6 years later he finally was able to do La La Land as it is: theatrical/blu-ray, with the ending as it is - the way it should be.
