Just out of curiosity: Is homosexuality punished over there? Did Moonlight have a theatrical release at all? Please excuse my ignorance.
i'm from hong kong, Moonlight had a (albeit very short) theatrical run in hong kong; not sure if it was shown in china. homosexuality isn't punishable/criminalized in hong kong but have less rights than heterosexuals (can't get married, work place discrimination, etc). China is a lot more conservative.

i love both la la land and moonlight, and looks like manta is probably releasing LLL. hoping for a moonlight release from plain archive!

Why not? Too soon? Too much risk in creating a premium edition for such a rather "niche" movie?
I don't think it's Moonlight either, but man, what an intriguing choice that would be for Manta.

plain archive Moonlight would be a dream come true!

Haven't been actively following steelbooks for a long time but recently bought La La Land (non-steelbook version), which seems to be the favourite choice here.

I don't have any of Mantalabs releases but I remember there was talk that it was an offshoot of one of the distributors here in HK. All their releases so far are from this distributor. La La Land is released by another distributor.

Would like it to be La La Land though. It is La La Land right? @Apollon

I might be on the minority on this, but I hope it's LLL, so I get to save my money. I personally find that movie overrated. It's a decent movie, but nothing amazing as far I am concerned. The Oscar hype was too much. It felt like all the ravings were due to the state of the nation in the US post-presidential election and it was hailed as a perfect distraction as the country was (or still is) divided. I will give more credit to Damien's Whiplash work than La La Land.

On a side note, just would like to ask what would happen to all of these speculations once the title is officially announced? Will it be deleted as all or most comments will be irrelevant to the specific and actual movie?

f**k.. i was very disappointed about walter mitty as premium release, but the next 4 are damn awesome.. Manta Lab, you got my love back!

That's awesome !!!! Just received the UK steelbook this week, and will still get this ! And I might get the Best Buy one also :) Thanks manta for giving this movie some love

The posts won't be deleted, the thread will just be updated to show the correct title!:)
