So many slipcover around the world, the elusive Canadian 4K steelbook; ML's WEA steelbook; beautiful art prints. What more do you want? :wow:

More Premium Releases :hilarious:

If you could pick 1 version for the cover, what's your favorite artwork thus far?

Oh Gosh I don't think I can Pick :blackeye: ...I Think They are all my Favorites, The Best Buy Steel Artwork(OST Vinyl) would be at The Top, After The UK Steelbook, but at the same Time The Target Exclusive cover is so well made with the light Shining and the holofoil making the slip shine and The Walmart Edition so colorful and really nice in hands oh I can't chose :wow: I am waiting today for the US Amazon.com Amaray it looks like it might be some sort of lenticular if not mistaken :cautious:

And @apsmith21 so very greatful still !!! Thank you for both my Target and Walmart Exclusive they are part of my Favorites :oohyeah::drool:

I've loved Whiplash so much, but also had panic attacks a number of times through the film, just because I had a band instructor that caused a lot of fear in me - so it's been hard to sit down and rewatch it.

On the other hand, my wife lasted about 10 minutes through La La Land and couldn't take it, so I'll have to give it a watch on my own, lol

Oh that sounds like PTSD that is an awful feeling those panick attacks :blackeye: I suffer it as well but for something else :bag: but did you know that Damian Chazelle got WHIPLASH done just so he can make a name for himself so he can do his first movie that he had written back in 2010: La La Land :wacky:
...back then the studio wanted him to drop the ending and stay with the fairy tale ending but he did not want to change anything, he wanted a movie that was based on reality, that is in a simple way to convey it: that not all dreams come true
But I do LOve WHIPLASH so very Much still one of my all time Favorite Movie

Sorry to hear that Andy, I haven't been through anything like that and it's an intense film to watch. I can imagine it would be very tough if you have been through something like that.
Im not big on musicals but it looks like there is a back story aswell on La La Land so I will give it a go!:)

I actually do not like Musicals at ALL !!! I was sure I was not gonna like this but it's not a full on Musical. There's numbers which are reflective of old musicals of the 40's and 50's and it is so impressive that Ema and Ryan sing their own song and dance all their numbers... even more that Ryan took 3 months before the movie to start to learn the Piano for him to be able to play all the numbers. You can hear in the jazz songs throughout the film, that it has a feeling of Whiplash within the Jazz music... I'd say give it a go worth watching I'd say stick with it for 45minutes and if after that you are not into the story then just stop the movie but both of you (@apsmith21 ) should try to watch this movie

I am gonna do my 6th or 7th viewing today :joy:

I Have Never listen to an OST and SCORE for a movie in My Life, but those 2 are so well crafted there's something to it I don't know how to explain it it is just soul catching Rhythms... I love the SCORE at Night very smooth...but the OST as well. I never have been that In Love about a movie, never. I watched the Bonus Items on my Target Exclusive which I never do(not my thing really but for this movie I just want to eat it all :hungry: )

Like @Actarus says I was very surprised it wasn't a full on musical. Is a great film and wasn't sure I would like it but I ended up loving it.
Have the uk steel and blue vinyl for my bday and plan on getting this

Actarus - also watched Beauty and beast and in honesty I wasn't expecting it to be so full on with the music. But I eneded up really liking it. Was rather camp but it made me laugh,

Also I thought Ewan was going to ruin it for me but he was my fav. Really liked dan Stevens as the beast too, his voice was spot on

This has to be super special to beat the US and UK Steelbooks. The UK Steelbook will be worth more than this release if the print run is higher.
That would be the case if the UK release remains the same but as these start popping up on ebay, that release will decline rapidly, especially if the artwork is similar which I predict it will be.

Manta Lab Steels have been the consistent underperformer in secondary market (irrespective of how good they are). FACT. :)

Could be because they have fairly high print runs. Also, they are quite new and are still getting firmly established. Some of their steels have very high value on the secondary market, such as Kingsman Lenti or Revenant Leather slip.

any news on this one?

I think Logan's next

If what I've been told about pricing for mantas la la land editions are true then The U.K. Version will be a bargain ;) :censored:

I was told by Manta how much they loved this movie and they had the OST playing over and over for weeks at their offices.

I cannot wait to see what Package they come up with, instant Purchase

So if you do not like the movie, it's simple ! Simply pass on it :p
I don't think there is ever(or very rarely) that someone will collect every edition that a retailer puts out !
It's bound to happen that you will not like some titles along the way !

You must be joking.

I mean, it's not like it costs an arm and a leg for the leather slip on ebay, but it still holds its value is what I meant.

Also, I think most of us collectors buy the movies we like that have release features and slips that we like. It kind of sucks to just buy ones that you think will jack up in value for re-sale. But that's just my opinion.
