I'm happy about the news.

A nice matte finish will suit these retro Disney films more than a sleek gloss.
I think whilst we're getting a lot of matte at the moment, we resent it. After a wave of gloss releases, we might just look back at these a little more fondly.

it seems Zavvi announce gloss finishes and stay quiet when it's matte. I expected these releases to be matte, hopefully they'll still look good.

I'm just glad to see them in steelbooks and since I don't have them anyway on standard blu-ray, I'm happy to have them. I'm hoping to see most of the classic disneys on steelbook regardless of matt or gloss

I wish Zavvi would hire employees that were as passionate as the members here to lead on a project like this. I guess they think since it is Disney, the name alone will sell the product. I reserve my final judgement once in hand, yet I have a gut feeling that this will not be the steelbook we were all waiting for.

Aladdin Steelbook with a gloss finish on a color I can only describe as Cadbury ... R.I.P.

They never said they were gloss so you should have assumed they were matte and cancelled so someone who actually wants them could order them.
