Horror has always been one of my least favourite genres (mostly because I'm a wimp), but I've started getting in to them more lately... especially the classics!

I recently checked out The Texas Chain Saw Massacre for the first time, and whilst it was a lot different to what I expected, I still really enjoyed... nice build up and nothing over the top, but then it suddenly gets seriously creepy and even ends whilst your heart is still racing.

I also watched Don't Breathe not too long and honestly expected to hate it... thankfully I was completely wrong and thought it was great! Now I can't wait for the sequel.

Oh, and I also recently went from thinking The Thing was kind of average to now loving it! Which reminds me... I need to rewatch the prequel now too, just to see if my opinion of that also changes.

Must say that Get Out (which everyone seems to be raving about) didn't impress me much at all though... maybe my expectations were too high or something.

I agree, you perfectly described 'The Texas Chainsaw Massacre' after a first time viewing. Everything starts out quite and normal, credible characters and conversations. Until the creepy yet interesting hitchhiker enters the van. You could tell something's going on, but still nothing too exaggerated. And then Leatherface happened and things started to become much more extreme . I love how genuine Sally's reactions were, finally a girl who acted according to circumstances. She went bat sh.. crazy and screamed all the time. Very much how it's supposed to be after all the craziness she just witnessed. I mean, who would have stayed calm after all the horror that occurred? Marilyn Burns, rightfully called the "Screamqueen". R.I.P.

I watched life the other night, I have to say that I thought it was very boring for the most of the movie, but the twist at the end was pretty awesome. Could have been a much better movie but overall it was OK, nothing more

Watched Raw last month.
Adored it, even a month later I'm still thinking about it. Can see it being very high on my end of year list. Beautifully shot, expertly told story.

Last watch & purchase: 'Cabin Fever' 2002, Zavvi steelbook.
I enjoyed the movie, i didn't even know it was a horror comedy.
Bert and the cop had me cracking up various times. The plot itself is nothing special but intriguing enough (in combination with the characters) to keep you interested.
7/10 polished rifles. (that ending haha)

Just watched The Witch... I can see why some love it, but then I can also see why some hate it. Personally I'm in the middle... I liked what it was trying to achieve, but would've liked just that bit more from it.

the conjuring 2 probably my favorite horror movie of 2016,absolutely love it
Don't breathe - great movie,not as sick as first time watching but definitely still one of the top horror movies of 2016
Next is 1408 and probably the skeleton key
