As August nears the end, I can't help but get excited for my yearly horror marathon! Every year, I put together a list of horror movies that I want to watch throughout the month of October (I try for at least 31 -- one per day).

Use this thread to post the list that you're going to attempt and then throughout October, we talk about what we're watching and if we're staying on track.

I'm still putting together my list, but I'll post it here when I'm done. Happy hauntings, ninja-ghouls!

I've been participating in a challenge on a Dutch movie discussion website for the past few months where we've been watching one movie in each of 54 predetermined horror subcategories.
Still have about 10 left to finish, but after that I'm afraid I'll have watched most of the horror movies on my watchlist.
They are going to organize a similar challenge as you where the challenge is to watch 31 horror movies throughout October.
Not sure if I'll make the commitment because there are not a lot of horror movies left that I'm dying to watch and 1 per day is a bit much for me.
But maybe my mind will change by the end of September. I'll keep an eye on this topic at least!

Don't really have anything planned out, Halloween 4K and City of the Living Dead Limited Edition should be arriving soon so I'll definitely be watching those. I ended up having a huge horror marathon over the summer as I had almost 4 months off from uni, NoES series + Never Sleep Again, Friday 13th series + Crystal Lake Memories, Fright 1 and 2 + You're So Cool Brewster, Saw series, Video Nasties: The Definitive Guide parts 1 + 2, and probably more that I can't remember

One thing is for certain, I don't think I've ever beat what I did 25 years ago. I was fed up with the wee buggers calling at the door every 5 minutes so I got my dads old boiler suit, put on very high heeled shoes to put my height about 6 foot 8, wore a mask, and held a knife covered with tomato sauce in my right hand. Right on time the door bell answered and I opened the door. Within the seconds the screams could be heard round the block. The buggers never came back. Objective achieved....

I've never seen that Trilogy of Terror, but I think I'll have to add it to my list this year since you're always saying great things about it (and you clearly have great taste in horror films).

I wouldn’t say it’s “good” per say, but nothing like seeing Karen Black inhabited by a voodoo doll spirit that jumps into her, LOL. First saw as kid so more favorite because of that. Mom was huge fan of Italian and cult horror. And bonus-just found out it’s coming out in Blu-ray-naturally I ordered. I posted thread a while back where you can see the fabulous cover in the Blu-ray forum.
