We saw Battle: LA today. We had a great time! More serious than I expected and some awesome action scenes. Should sound fantastic at home on rewatch, as well. A "shoot 'em up good time":)

I was a little disappointed in Battle L.A. The action was very good, and the story was acually better than expected, but elements of the story seemed so manufactured and the special effects were not quite as good as I come to expect.

The Adjustment Bureau is quite intriguing, although not nearly as much as Inception last year, and Just Go With It is an underrated comedy.

Went to see Black Swan tonight with some friends. Among the 4 of us, I was probably the least negative, but even I found it slow going and cliché ridden. How it won 4 (?) Oscars I really don't know.

Just saw "Paul", haha, loved it! As a fan of Alien themed flicks, this one resonated for me, with its humorous spin on many aspects of this topic. Very enjoyable Sunday matinee!

Saw a free screening of new WB nature documentary "Born To Be Wild". 2 women have dedicated their lives to saving orpghaned elephants and orangutans and then release them into the wild. Loved Morgan Freeman as narrator, and the 3D was very good-beatiful scenery and music. Thoroughly enjoyed.

Insidious-We went to see this last night, and I was pleasantly surprised. I thought it was really well done and I'd like to explore the director's background. It had a
real "throwback" feel to older horror flicks. I'm not an expert on Euro horror,
but grew up with several of them since my mom loved them. The music (even the
beginning and ending credits), shots, angles and constant, persistent fear were
fun and provided a constant air of tension. We really liked this one and it was the best of the kind we've seen in a
while. Really creepy...

I saw Scream 4 this afternoon, and wasn't too impressed. I found the reason behind the return of Ghostface to be weak, and the scares to be too far in between. By far it was not a bad movie, but this one is definitely for fans only. I did notice that this was the bloodiest out of the series though.

Darc-that sucks! We're seeing Fast Five in a bit. Flicks are a guilty pleasure for me, and since I am off on Fridays, I watched 1, 2 and 4 as a marathon (this is supposed to be the story chronology). I look forward to some big races in IMAX:) Hope the next one you see is better!

Fast Five is probably going to kick some butt in IMAX! Let us know how it is DB :)
