Hobbit 2. An improvement on the first, but still with dull and uninteresting dialogue. Yes it has more action, but so what?

Hobbit-movies still feel like a weak spin-off on the Tolkien-universe to me.

Last 3 were

The Hobbit, The Desolation of Smaug

Superb and a vast improvement over the first film. Still nowhere near as good as the LOTR, I find the dialogue a little forced so far in this second lot of films, which considering they are supposed to be a little lighter in tone is a let down. Totally sold on 48 Frames Per second though, I think it looks utterly stunning especially the 3D version. 9/10

Anchorman 2,

Got dragged to see this with friends. Wasn't impressed, although to be fair I basically detest Ferrell in everything except Old School. I just don't find him remotely funny! Thought the first film was utter garbage, this didn't change my mind. 2/10 "the 2 are for Paul Rudd, otherwise 0"

The Secret Life of Walter Mitty.

I will say that up until now I have pretty much hated Stiller as much as Ferrell. Soon as I see the name it meant that I would most likely dislike the film, till now. Fantastic film, which while having some great humor is not a comedy and Stiller plays it utterly straight. Touching, moving, funny and a great cast make this by far Stiller's best film in my opinion. A couple more like this and I might forgive him for destroying Starsky & Hutch. 8.5/10

Been busy! :p

Where's the reviews? :wtf:

I do not typically like to review movies. I do not read or consider reviews myself because I can tell from the trailer if I want to see it or not. Most of the time that works, as I enjoyed 59/62 films I saw at the theater this year. If I went by critic or user reviews, I would have been recommended to not see many of them.

I don't use a star rating, or an out-of-10 rating, I just use like or didn't like lol. For me that's what movies are about; enjoying them, not dissecting them. Everyone will like different films, so I don't want help to to sway people's opinions one way or another.

For what it's worth the 3 listed above were all likes for me
