Vancouver (Canada - British Columbia) Tuesday, 16 July 2013, 05:00:00 PDT UTC-7 hours
New York (U.S.A. - New York) Tuesday, 16 July 2013, 08:00:00 EDT UTC-4 hours

Corresponding UTC (GMT) Tuesday, 16 July 2013, 12:00:00

-1x copy per slipcover (2x copies for slipcover was sold out too fast like 7 min, That's why kimchi put more restriction for quarter slip release)
-5x copies per lenticular

here is technical problem solved so far

after you pay via paypal, you will automatically return to main page of kimchidvd and you can go to order page to check if your order is completed.

(previous kimchi, does not provide automatic payment completed by paypal, only kimchi handle one by one to complete order by manually matched with paypal transaction. it's kind of big burden and many problem happened)

and another announcement for shipping

Small packet is removed, K-packet applied for all of item sold in kimchidvd
K-packet is slightly expensive than small packet but there is lots of benefits

- Printed slip with tracking number
- End-to-End tracking with delivery confirmation (No lost shipment)
- Reasonable cost than EMS
- generally takes 5-15 days (EMS: 5-10 days, Small packet 15 -35 days)

but some member are curious why kimchidvd changed shipping method

From T2 kimchi release, Kimchi handled more than 1,000 box to ship out to post office KR, this is a big volume of post office KR to handle only for one store.

so post office does not allow kimchi to accept small packet any more :(
and asked kimchi to change K-packet rather than small packet due to too many package in one or two day.

after changed of k-packet, pack & shipping process is much more faster than small packet and very reliable shipping method in terms of tracking.

even now, some of member did not received T2 kimchi after shipping process done at 26th June because no tracking available for small packet.

1 or 2 steelbook for shipping charge between small packet & k-packet is only difference around 2$

please kindly understand kr post office policy for massive volume of shipment like over 1,000 boxes and more powerful tracking for lost shipment protection.

Thanks

If i'm honest, my plan was to grab a copy of the lenticular which surely wouldn't sell out in the five hours between the pre-order going live and me getting up, with the main focus being on the quarter slip version. You know since Terminator 2 (a much more popular title of course) took months to sell out on a smaller print run.

Well if you need help getting a copy the 2nd time round I'm more than happy to assist if I can (except if it falls on Saturday as that isn't good for me). Just let me know bud. But I expect you will find it easier on the lenti next time round from what Choi is saying ;)

Just reading through this thread and cannot believe what I'm reading.

Said this before and I'll say it again - It's a steelbook, that's all it is. Not the first one to sell out and won't be the last (and there's a second chance). As for the time it goes on sale, oh come on, really? Next thing people will be wanting a call in advance of items going live!

SBC28 - spot on with what you said (#1045)

Oh and I didn't buy any as got drunk as yesterday was a gorgeous day - like I was any fit state at 1am this morning!

Thanks for the advice, guys (I felt that giving away the whole credit card number via email was a bit suicidal, thanks for confirming :D).

I emailed Tony, told him my first name/last name and the last 4 digits of my credit card, we'll see what happens now. I'd be pretty bummed if what they said in their email about canceling unfinished orders "tomorrow" would put my order in jeopardy.

Waked up from long sleep

As you all may know or may not know, stock system in kimchi is very weird so much like make cart then no payment by paypal but stock gone. So technically sold out after few minutes. That's main problem in kimchidvd.com

So kimchi fixed several problem before pre order start but still have some technical issue

Kimchi will fix this technical issue, after that, 2nd batch pre order will start again

As mattet of fact, Tony was all night up to cross check against payment from paypal with order made for changing status from reciept of order to payment complete

So if anyone has problem with payment issue, please let kimchi or me know

I or kimchi.will fix this issue right away

Sorry for confusion and kimchi will fix everything

And after technical issue solved in this week, I will announce here for next 2nd batch pre order date and time

I just checked my email from Tony. It says order not complete. Will delete order unless i provide pay pal address for new payment.
But i have payed for both orders. Pay pal says both transactions are completed, and the money has been drawn from my account.
I sent email to Tony with copy of both pay pal transactions. I hope this will make everything OK because i have payed 96,78USD x 2 and only 1 order says completed in kimchi account.
I get nervous when Tony says he will cancel order. I hope he will see that I have payed, and everything will work out.
I have no reason to think otherwise as Kimchi has never given me any problems before, and I am a very happy customer. But with releases like this, i wish he would not talk about cancelling order so fast because i get VERY nervous :hilarious:

And one more things!

Stock left in each of edition for next 2nd batch

- quarter slip 250 copies left
- lenticular 1000 copies left

250 quarter slip and 500 lenticular sold out in a hour so it's amazing

But most of people lost pre order to get their own copies

So I think I will tell kimchi for more strict limited per order im second batch

I hope it will make more people pre order their own copies in easy way

I will let you all know limitation and pre order date & time

Time will be fixed from 9 am KR to 2-3 pm UK or something else (day time on UK)

Seriously, people need to get a grip on this.
Steelbook collecting is a hobby for most. Looks like ppl want to slate each other just because they miss out on times.
Goodness sake people, be adults and mature about it.
This steelbooks looks amazing, it is obvious that it shocked everyone. Eventhough I was awake, I didn't order but I won't lose sleep over it!

I will just have to be wary of the next batch!! Thanks guys

I waited until 2AM my local time to ordered this beauties, and it was worth it, ordered 1 copy of lenticular an 1 of quarter. In the morning I got an email from Kimchi with order confirmation and also on Kimchi page my order status has been changed on "payment completed" (I used paypal). Also used Chrome browser when I was ordered, so have no problems :)

But I honestly do not think that 250 copies of quarter will sold out within 10 minutes, and lenticular in less than an hour, it was like a race against time

BIG thanks to Tony and all Kimchi staff for graet job on this second exclusive edition, and to Choi and biscuitnoir for informing us up to date about everything!

Also good lock for all of you Ninjas in a "a new race" when new wave will be available! ;)

It felt a bit like waiting for some tickets to go live, servers crashing, browsers slowing down and the panic to get the items in the basket and checked out! Luckily I got a 1/4 however I will be back for the lenti next time round as i'm now regretting not ordering it

There are some people who use it as a business... so the more copies they can buy at 1 time means potentially more profit later.

Limit the 1/4 slip to 1 next time!

Wow cant believe this one is getting re-released! Is Rambo next!? I dont own any of those copies but this is non-sense! Am I buying Steelbooks or Michael Jordan shoes? Because this is what steelbook collecting is starting to turn into......bunch of re-releases to take all the hype-beasts money! smh...

I'll admit to being a bit confused how 1500 T2's take months to sell out, yet 750 Le Grand Bleus sell out in a few hours.

I think with T2 the reason it took longer was that it evolved from a normal release to an exclusive. Also due to the fact that T2 had 4 different releases ( DE, UK, JP twice) not many were too quick to order as they waited for specs to be finalized. LGB on the other hand, was a complete steel with all the specifics announced before it went live and the hype behind the title itself makes it an instant hit.
