Vancouver (Canada - British Columbia) Tuesday, 16 July 2013, 05:00:00 PDT UTC-7 hours
New York (U.S.A. - New York) Tuesday, 16 July 2013, 08:00:00 EDT UTC-4 hours

Corresponding UTC (GMT) Tuesday, 16 July 2013, 12:00:00

-1x copy per slipcover (2x copies for slipcover was sold out too fast like 7 min, That's why kimchi put more restriction for quarter slip release)
-5x copies per lenticular

here is technical problem solved so far

after you pay via paypal, you will automatically return to main page of kimchidvd and you can go to order page to check if your order is completed.

(previous kimchi, does not provide automatic payment completed by paypal, only kimchi handle one by one to complete order by manually matched with paypal transaction. it's kind of big burden and many problem happened)

and another announcement for shipping

Small packet is removed, K-packet applied for all of item sold in kimchidvd
K-packet is slightly expensive than small packet but there is lots of benefits

- Printed slip with tracking number
- End-to-End tracking with delivery confirmation (No lost shipment)
- Reasonable cost than EMS
- generally takes 5-15 days (EMS: 5-10 days, Small packet 15 -35 days)

but some member are curious why kimchidvd changed shipping method

From T2 kimchi release, Kimchi handled more than 1,000 box to ship out to post office KR, this is a big volume of post office KR to handle only for one store.

so post office does not allow kimchi to accept small packet any more :(
and asked kimchi to change K-packet rather than small packet due to too many package in one or two day.

after changed of k-packet, pack & shipping process is much more faster than small packet and very reliable shipping method in terms of tracking.

even now, some of member did not received T2 kimchi after shipping process done at 26th June because no tracking available for small packet.

1 or 2 steelbook for shipping charge between small packet & k-packet is only difference around 2$

please kindly understand kr post office policy for massive volume of shipment like over 1,000 boxes and more powerful tracking for lost shipment protection.

Thanks

Mine went straight to Payment Completed after it took me back to the Kimchi website

i had my order also listed as "...receipt" for a couple of minutes until it changed to "order completed".
i guess if the paypal transfer is completed there is no reason to worry about the order to get completed as well. ;)

I've emailed them to see what the checkout issue was (for those of us that got stuck on the order info screen) and also to see if they allocate stock based on it being in your basket or based on you completing checkout. As I know a few people seem to have missed out on the 1/4 slip despite having a copy ready to checkout.

I'll report back with the answer as it should save some annoyance next time around.

Well, I wasn't really sure what to expect as it's the first (and probably last) time I used the site. But I created an account ahead of time as I figured that would speed things up, plus I'd seen people saying (with T2) that once an item was in your cart then it was allocated to you. So that sounded pretty good.

I was refreshing the page, they popped up and I added one of each version to my cart (really wanted the quarter slip). The site crashed but I'd already seen that I had one of each stored in my cart so figured I was good. Tried to get through checkout a few times, but everytime I got past my Cart to the checkout page I was just looking at my order and address with no way to move forward or pay.

I figured it would fix itself if I refreshed the page, as people suggested, but then it booted me back to my cart and told me the quarter slip was no longer available to order.

Seems weird to have a system whereby the first people to make it through checkout (a checkout that crashed last time and, surprise, did so again this time) be the ones to luck out. I would have actually preferred the older system of those that got the items in cart first had first chance to order.

Just disappointed I guess.

The way it is done is the fairest way. It makes perfect sense to only allocate copies once checkout is completed. Everyone faces the same problems, no one deserves a copy more than anyone else it's just a case of trying hoping for the best. There will always be people who lose out and there's nothing that can be said to make those people feel better.

Don't get me wrong, I don't begrudge people getting a copy, but to say this is the fairest way is nonsense. I'm also not saying I deserve a copy over anyone else.

However, I had copy in my Cart from the second it went live and went to checkout immediately, therefore surely it would have been 'fairer' for me to get a copy rather than someone who came on a few minutes later and sailed through the checkout process?

The only reason I didn't get a copy is not through a fault of my own, or because it sold out before I had a chance to checkout as the item was in my basket for a good 20 minutes as I tried, repeatedly, to check out (then all of a sudden the item was deemed Out of Stock and forcibly removed from my Cart as I still tried to checkout). Instead it was because the site itself could not cope with the demand and therefore people missed out for no good reason.

Clearly the fairest way to do it is a 'first come first served' policy which was not the case here, as plenty of people have effectively had items that were in their cart given to other customers.

This ship has sailed, so kudos to those that got lucky, but I don't think it is being unreasonable to expect the Checkout process to work as advertised so that the system is TRULY fair to everyone.
