Today I officially announced the pre-order date & time for 2nd round

London (United Kingdom - England) Tuesday, 16 July 2013, 13:00:00 BST UTC+1 hour
Seoul (South Korea) Tuesday, 16 July 2013, 21:00:00 KST UTC+9 hours
Vancouver (Canada - British Columbia) Tuesday, 16 July 2013, 05:00:00 PDT UTC-7 hours
New York (U.S.A. - New York) Tuesday, 16 July 2013, 08:00:00 EDT UTC-4 hours
Paris (France) Tuesday, 16 July 2013, 14:00:00 CEST UTC+2 hours
Corresponding UTC (GMT) Tuesday, 16 July 2013, 12:00:00

-1x copy per slipcover (2x copies for slipcover was sold out too fast like 7 min, That's why kimchi put more restriction for quarter slip release)
-5x copies per lenticular

here is technical problem solved so far

after you pay via paypal, you will automatically return to main page of kimchidvd and you can go to order page to check if your order is completed.

(previous kimchi, does not provide automatic payment completed by paypal, only kimchi handle one by one to complete order by manually matched with paypal transaction. it's kind of big burden and many problem happened)

and another announcement for shipping

Small packet is removed, K-packet applied for all of item sold in kimchidvd
K-packet is slightly expensive than small packet but there is lots of benefits

- Printed slip with tracking number
- End-to-End tracking with delivery confirmation (No lost shipment)
- Reasonable cost than EMS
- generally takes 5-15 days (EMS: 5-10 days, Small packet 15 -35 days)

but some member are curious why kimchidvd changed shipping method

From T2 kimchi release, Kimchi handled more than 1,000 box to ship out to post office KR, this is a big volume of post office KR to handle only for one store.

so post office does not allow kimchi to accept small packet any more :(
and asked kimchi to change K-packet rather than small packet due to too many package in one or two day.

after changed of k-packet, pack & shipping process is much more faster than small packet and very reliable shipping method in terms of tracking.

even now, some of member did not received T2 kimchi after shipping process done at 26th June because no tracking available for small packet.

1 or 2 steelbook for shipping charge between small packet & k-packet is only difference around 2$

please kindly understand kr post office policy for massive volume of shipment like over 1,000 boxes and more powerful tracking for lost shipment protection.

Thanks

Why does Kimchi have to charge right away!?!? :(

I really can't afford anymore this month at all and I somehow forgot to include this in my list of wants for this month. And since I did secure a copy of Wreck-It Ralph, my funds are even more shot than they were before.

Let's say I went ahead and pre-ordered the lenticular slip now and was charged immediately. Can I still cancel my pre-order later if I have to?

EDIT: Nevermind, I looked into the KimchiDVD Retailer Zone thread and found out I just have to email Tony if I need to cancel.

I appreciate that you are disappointed you missed out (I felt the same way first time around), but it was the fairest way. You say that you and a few others had this in the cart, but you can't possibly know how many others did as well. I'm sure everyone hit the site as soon as it went live which is why the site went down. It's just an unfortunate situation that can't really be helped.

Again, I really do think this situation CAN be helped in future. Just to clarify I'm not expecting to get a copy of this release, I was unlucky and that's that, but it wouldn't hurt for them to improve the checkout system in future so that if you miss out - it's simply because you weren't fast enough.

If the system, as it stands, means that 1000 people can put a copy of a film in their cart at once but only the lucky 250 that make it through, a clearly broken, checkout system first get a copy then that is liable to lead to a backlash.

Judging by some posts in this thread some people had time to process multiple orders on different accounts and yet I still wasn't able to order one item that was in my cart seconds after going live? Not to mention, as I've already said, that item was in my cart for a good 15-20 minutes before going out of stock, so had the checkout system worked I would have acquired a copy in plenty of time.

You mention being disappointed at the T2 release but the system there seems to have been different, in that stock was allocated to people once it was in their cart. So I'm not sure why it was changed this time around. The first 250 people to put the item in their cart would no doubt have ended up buying it, so why shift to this strange alternative whereby far more people can add an item to their cart than they have for sale?

It's a small company sure, but you would expect them to have foreseen this demand (especially after how fast the first batch sold out) and had a checkout system that was robust enough to deal with it.

EDIT: I appreciate I'm probably rambling off topic. So hopefully once this comes out it is as good as it looks and everyone has a new favourite on their hands. You can't argue about the quality of the goods at least, so I'm sure September 30th will be a good day.

When I ordered I had trouble paying, but I found out it was because it wanted the card expire-date in 4 digits and not 2.

Well, now I'm nervous if I clicked "mark as merchandise" or not, because of clicking back and forth so many times. :ohno:

Do you think I can email Tony and he can check it for me?

I think the problems some had might actually be related to the new system like you say, i wonder if all those who had problems can see if their phone details are available in their 'my account' details. The new system seems to require this information before it will show you the second part that is needed to complete the order. So when an order is made if those details aren't there prior to ordering you cant make the order. Interestingly you are not able to edit or add tel number details if they are not present.

So i think some people never had a chance from the go as the system requirements prior to ordering have been changed. Anyone still having problems should try creating another account making sure tel numbers are put in when the account is created rather than trying to edit it later. Its may be too late to get the 1/4 slip but you can still try for the lenticular if you haven't already.

Not only was I unable to process the lenticular and 1/4 slip when it first went live, now the system is apparently dishing out a "cart add fail" for the lenticular.

I agree with the posts here that blame the faulty site and checkout process of KimchiDVD. It's quite true. That must be frustrating to have missed out simply because of oddball website issues.

I got my order in, but it was a brutal tug of war between me, my mouse, and KimchiDVD. I fought well, and won. But honestly, that's pretty ridiculous. I feel for those that got hosed due to site inadequacies.

Looking forward to this steelbook though.

That hyper gloss treatment is gonna be.... GLLLLLOSSY!

i'm assuming these guys, have previously created accounts and logged in when trying to place an order.

That`s not quite correct,i forgot my Cellphone Number-that`s why i had the Issue not to be able to Pay:p - thought the normal Telefon Number would be enough-strange System at Kimchi-hope they call me :hilarious::hilarious: now they`ve got all my Telephone Numbers;)

Payment Completed mails from PP are instant. Order Confirmation mails from KimchiDVD are not. Unless i'm the exception to the rule, and have been getting mine late for every order i placed over the past few years.
