Major update from Choi 7/13/2013: [Mod. Edit: PLEASE READ]

Today I officially announced the pre-order date & time for 2nd round
as I said before, Kimchi will fix pre-order date & time based on UK time zone.:scat:

London (United Kingdom - England) Tuesday, 16 July 2013, 13:00:00 BST UTC+1 hour
Seoul (South Korea) Tuesday, 16 July 2013, 21:00:00 KST UTC+9 hours
Vancouver (Canada - British Columbia) Tuesday, 16 July 2013, 05:00:00 PDT UTC-7 hours
New York (U.S.A. - New York) Tuesday, 16 July 2013, 08:00:00 EDT UTC-4 hours
Paris (France) Tuesday, 16 July 2013, 14:00:00 CEST UTC+2 hours
Corresponding UTC (GMT) Tuesday, 16 July 2013, 12:00:00

-1x copy per slipcover (2x copies for slipcover was sold out too fast like 7 min, That's why kimchi put more restriction for quarter slip release)
-5x copies per lenticular

here is technical problem solved so far

after you pay via paypal, you will automatically return to main page of kimchidvd and you can go to order page to check if your order is completed.

(previous kimchi, does not provide automatic payment completed by paypal, only kimchi handle one by one to complete order by manually matched with paypal transaction. it's kind of big burden and many problem happened)

and another announcement for shipping

Small packet is removed, K-packet applied for all of item sold in kimchidvd
K-packet is slightly expensive than small packet but there is lots of benefits

- Printed slip with tracking number
- End-to-End tracking with delivery confirmation (No lost shipment)
- Reasonable cost than EMS
- generally takes 5-15 days (EMS: 5-10 days, Small packet 15 -35 days)

but some member are curious why kimchidvd changed shipping method

From T2 kimchi release, Kimchi handled more than 1,000 box to ship out to post office KR, this is a big volume of post office KR to handle only for one store.

so post office does not allow kimchi to accept small packet any more :(
and asked kimchi to change K-packet rather than small packet due to too many package in one or two day.

after changed of k-packet, pack & shipping process is much more faster than small packet and very reliable shipping method in terms of tracking.

even now, some of member did not received T2 kimchi after shipping process done at 26th June because no tracking available for small packet.

1 or 2 steelbook for shipping charge between small packet & k-packet is only difference around 2$

please kindly understand kr post office policy for massive volume of shipment like over 1,000 boxes and more powerful tracking for lost shipment protection.

Thanks

I didn't say I agreed with it

well... now that I have gone back through and carefully revisted the posts to see what you were saying... I get it now. by I must say... that was pretty hard to decode. you were pretty vague about what you meant.

at any rate... I don't agree with bantha's idea. It wouldn't make sense to disinclude the folks who ordered a 1/4 slip. And that is why Choi's post indicated nothing of the sort, so I don't think anyone needs to fret much about it.

Thanks for cancel 1/4 slip.

Currently 5x 1/4 slip was canceled.

But it's too small to start next 3rd round because kimchi do not want to see ppl will be panic to get 1/4 slip :(

So.I suggest kimchi to give away 5x 1/4 for everyone who made pre order LGB in kimchidvd.com

Right now I do not know how to give away.

But I guess it's lottery or something else in fair way.

I have to think and decide with kimchi

I will announce game rule later after decide the way giving away to members love kimchidvd exclusive here

And one more thing, Kimchi will give away small gift to every pre order for reward when kimchi ship your order

I'm sure you will be happy with small gift!

A keychain in the shape of dolphin :D

So exciting about this release, the same as was with T2, and this gift (surprise) heightens my tension  I wonder what else Kimchi might surprise us, probably the Exclusive #3 :naughty: Also have hope that this 5 copies of 1/4 edition will win this members who have failed to order a single copy. :thanks: for all Kimchi!

IMO,for those 5 cancellations, I think that making a lottery to everyone will be fair enough. Don't blame some "bug" from KimichiDVD if you weren't able to place an order. Some guys here advised in how to be prepared to make your order. Also, if KimichiDVD founds any problem in your order they contact everyone to resolved it.

Ha ha, no offense but a site should be easy enough to use so that people don't have to go elsewhere for a FAQ on how to actually get it to work. I had a problem with my order and still have items sat at checkout - contacted the site and got a one sentence reply. So guess I was SOL.

But a lottery system would be a nice gesture so I have no issues with that at all.

they have the best customer service of all retailers imho

You obviously have not dealt with them (Tony) for the last 2+ years. More can be discussed in the retailer thread about KimchiDVD's customer service, but it is good when you get it. Tony might be better now with responses, but my "personal" experience is he will respond to about 40% of my inquiries.

That's a little hard to take, for i live in Texas, too and i have always used EMS from Kimchi. I have never had a single order cost over $30 (large or small orders) in shipping via EMS, and the $30 order was a box with 9 Digipacks.

Now, this would only make sense if you asked him to combine shipping for a second order with a previous one. That is something they just don't do, and that's clearly stated on their website.

In my opinion, KimchiDVD does have the very best customer service, and this post just doesn't make any sense to me. I'm not saying you're in error, by any means. I'm saying a mistake must have been made, somewhere.

The cost for 3 x Lenticular & 1 x 1/4 slip was $43.20 EMS with my only other choice of $60+. I did not have time to figure out why as I did not want to miss out on the 1/4. When I realized later that any orders with 4+ items "has" to use EMS, I asked Tony if he could drop one Lenticular from my order and change the shipping to K-Packet. This was his response:

We are so sorry for being changed our shipping methods but we cant accept your request.

If you want to cancel it, and we will cancel it and make refund it.

Regards

Tony

Glad it seems customer service seems to have improved for some, but for a long time customer I'm out. I will get this through trade or buy from someone else as I love the film, but won't be getting it from them.
