GODDAMMIT RICSTER! I just ordered this steelbook because of you :D.

Here are 10 reasons why I caved in (other than my loving the film, which I didn't have on Blu-ray, so it's 11) :

  1. First of all, your awesome photos, Ricster, they are really tempting.

  2. Acidcore's photo showing that there are French subtitles on the director's cut. Not that I desperately need them, as long as there are at least English subs I'm good, but it's certainly better. Was it because we've asked for them, Choi (or someone in the know)?

  3. I got a good news from Plain Archive, so it encouraged me to trust a Korean seller once again.

  4. The full slip wasn't sold out, and I like full slips. If only the 1/4 slip was remaining, I'm not sure I would have ordered.

  5. Mathilda / Natalie Portman is heavily featured  (while absent from the UK edition).

  6. The UK version isn't that good. The back is underwhelming (it has a great quote but I prefer actual art), the front feels empty, it's all matte, and while the Kimchi version may not be full gloss either, it has spot gloss all over.

  7. It's 6:30 AM, maybe I'm not seeing things (especially my bank account) clearly.

  8. The UK version remains priced around £20 for some reason. Including shipping, I just checked and I would have to pay €27.82 for this on Amazon.co.uk, with only Hard of hearing Engiish subtitles. Meanwhile, including shipping (K Packet), Léon cost me $47.80 => €35.43. That's just €7.61 above the UK steelbook, not much of a price difference, and it has French subs, a nice-looking full slip, some gloss, it's numbered, the art on the disc is better... In the end, the KimchiDVD was just better value for my money.

  9. There is no pre-order stage, it's likely to be shipped next week and it's likely I'll have it the following week (*knock on wood*).

  10. There is an accent on Léon, which isn't there on the UK version :D.

Also, I never remember which option is the best one to tick when checking out : merchandise or gift? I chose merchandise and wrote $22.99, but it'd be nice if there was a poll in the Kimchi retailer section where Ninjas would vote on what they've chosen / if they got hit by customs or not (and if so, which country they are from).

Well, I caved in also after seeing Ricsters photos even though I have the German version and wasnt supposed to double dip this steel. Have to trade/sell my German one now...this one is way nicer!

It won't be in stock for long. There is an overwhelming positive buzz on this release now that it's in hand. It appears KimchiDVD has created another gem. That always boosts sales.

When this is OOS for good, it will be a highly desired "gotta have it" steelbook.

Mine have just been delivered (no customs charges :)) one of each:) no Thor though considering they were shipped before Leon :)
