I really like the last steel that came out not long ago from HMV. I’d rather them do a tin collection with all 4 than a slipped collectors editions (possibly for each film?). Or will it be that it’s just this film again and not the others?!

Also that Chinese poster (or Japanese?) is hilariously bad. Slip sounds cool though with a PET

Featured In-Pack:

  • SteelBook

Seems to be the route they been taking lately when 1 is regarded better than the rest, (Collectors ed for 1 and steel tin in 12-18 months for 2-4) much like recent Freddy set...

Personally I'd be in for collectors set for LW2 also. Always liked that one as much as the first. Great sequel.

Yeah, sequel is definitely on par with the first. I prefer crazier Riggs in the original but LW 2 has the better bad guy beatdown finale

Yeah that is a good point.

I love them all but I also think 4 is on par with 1 & 2

It adds several key scenes and more insights into Riggs depression. I've always preferred it and the only reason I have not gotten rid of my dvds. It's always been my preferred cut.
9/10 times I always go with the Directors cut/ extended edition anyway etc but yeah just never seen this one and wondered. Cheers

Yeah it's a great ending. Always careful not to do spoilers as there's sometimes folks that haven't seen it but when Knocking on Heavens Door drops with the way Riggs is lit in that scene is personal fave.

I do like 3 and 4 too tbf. Not as good as the first 2 but the chemistry amongst the cast always makes them a worthwhile watch. Pesci & Russo bring a lot to them.

This release might even be a sign there's a green light for 5... I've heard Mel & Danny are up for 1 final one. Script is ready. Need Pesci too though for me.

I love all 4. The 4th one has its faults but has some solid action and is pretty hilarious. Chris Rock and Joe Pesci are great.

I genuinely didn’t know there’s directors cuts for all 3
I don't think they have ever released on anything other than dvd. I have the original dvd box set and I don't even know how old that is now. I had been looking forward to upgrading to bluray but when I saw they were not directors cuts I didn't bother.

Same reason I didn't bother with the 4k World War Z. The directors cut is vastly superior.

Yeah I'm going to have to rewatch 4 now. I started rewatching them last year and for some reason stopped at 3 and forgot about 4 (only realised now). I think it's actually been over 10 years since I last saw 4 too. Thanks for reminding me how good it is both of you
