As this says Steelbox as opposed to the Hobbit's steebook listing do we think this will be similar to the Taiwan Life of Pi? I'm really not keen on that one but was going to take a chance with this.

In HK they don't separate the various types of metal cases. Steelbook, VMB, metalpack, etc. are generalised and literal translated as "iron box".

If you do a search on HMV-HK for "steelbook" "steel book" "steelbox" "steel box" they will all return steelbook titles.

Taiwan and HK have almost the same releases. If Taiwan version is steelbook, the HK version will be also.

Hope this will be like the HK version of Prometheus and come with the 40-page photobook that the Taiwan release is including for this movie.

The best Asian version?

The same photo book that comes with the Taiwan version is INSIDE the steelbook of the HK version. The slip is not a slip but a sleeve. I think this is better than the Taiwan version. With this release the steelbook and the lenticular cover can be seen in all its glory.

I like that it comes with the photo book, and that the book comes inside the steel (as with Prometheus), but as a sealed item the UK and Korean editions beat it visually IMO. I'm just not very keen on a slip/sleeve being used as an advertising banner for electronics products.

I do prefer it to the Taiwan version though, which seems over-packaged to me. I guess it's all down to personal taste.

Looks ok but nothing special, I still prefer both TW & KR versions to this, somehow I don't like the slip on this but that's just me, however it's good to see HK steels gettng better slips & extras than the usual even though they're not fully there yet...

Decided to take a chance and drop an order on this one. First time ordering from HMV HK, hope it goes well :ohno:
