I've just had a look on the EMS site to see where my item is, and it says:

Attempted delivery(1st) Mar/28/2013 11:06
Reason for non-delivery Payment of charges

Does that mean I am getting hit with customs charges, despite me asking 3 times for JS to mark it as valuing less than $25? If so, I will never be using them again.

Iganz316 had the same problem mate. I think it's due to the weight and size not quantity why this ones being flagged up.... Just my opinion.

Same here but no card left in my mailbox which is weird. I received 3 orders in the past few weeks from them without any issues.

Anyways going to return to sender.

My 2 copies are stuck due to Incorrect invoice

Same here mate. Stuck under Customs Inspection for 6 days now. :(

It happened to me with Taken 2 when parcel force wanted £25. JSDVD said they declared a low value so not sure what's going on.

I'm not sure that having these shipments declared as low value 'gifts' does any good. These are packages that are being sent out from a commercial company, so they're very obviously not gifts. HM Customs aren't stupid. And if they think the value of the goods is high enough to be VAT-able they'll hang into the package with a view to levying charges.

Doesn't mean you'll definitely get charged mind you - they hung onto my last JSDVD package for 8 days and then released it without charges... :dunno:

Here is what I always do when ordering at JSDVD.

1. Ask them to mark the package as DVD X 2, GIFT, $42 in both customs form + invoice while placing the order.

2. Same information copy/pasted while paying for shipping.

3. They have never failed me on this as they did the same but declaration was in Taiwan Dollars.

At last, Life of Pi is stuck at Coventry for the past 4 days. I think either customs found that it is odd for a commercial company to declare as GIFT and held the package or the form and invoice had different amounts. I hope they release the package in good mood once they are back from Easter holidays.

Just received my copies from jsdvd. My Korean ones came in too. I really like the box that this comes in. The gift was nice too. Love both, I think I like this one better though. Just gotta decide which one I want to open now.

I would suggest opening this one. That way you can get rid of that ugly advert on the front.

No not yet for me. I am posting based on the data shown on the tracking page as no card was left in my mailbox. I am sure JSDVD messed around with the declaration on the customs form and invoice. This will be my last order with them as I don't want to pay 20 quid extra for 2 Steelbooks when I already paid 40 each for one copy. Now this has worked out to even higher than yesasia. Weak GBP + customs is no good for us at all. I will return to sender as advised by gbdragon but heard getting a reply from jsdvd is extremely difficult and they owes him a huge amount of money pending for more than a month.

15 GBP import limit should be increased to 100 GBP as it way too low. Costs you 15 to buy couple of Pizzas or a dinner in London. For this very reason, I wish I can live in the USA or Australia or Japan where import limits are relaxed.
