I hope so, though there was some chat about some steels being dispatched from warehouses which would continue to use the old packaging until that material is exhausted.

Hope my LoP comes in the new one - prolly will receive the steel in 1D if its in the old 'packaging'

heh, yeah i understand.. but i hope you wont be disappointed when it sells out..

avatar lenticular for instance had a print run of 10k, still sold out and is now @ ~50€.. and afaik was never below its initial price

I think this is going to go the way of recent Fox titles and increase in price. First it was Skyfall, then Willow. Robocop looks to be next and i'm sure this one won't be far behind. Of course HMV may have it in store, but it probably won't be any cheaper and if you're outside of the UK you've got to get a Ninja to ship it to you. Best off going with Zavvi with their good packaging

At this point it is either Zavvi or get it on eBay.... Zavvi will be much cheaper no question.

Just a potential heads up for anyone on the fence, this is top of the blu ray preorder chart on Zavvi and they sent an email this morning pushing it as well.

Ebay prices for this one are already pushing the £40 mark. I guess some of those sellers didn't realise it wasn't an Amazon exclusive.

btw am i the only one thinking that the steel looks a lot better without the lenticular card ?

would've prefered the steel with an embossed "life of pi" and without the card.. well nvm!

Got one pre-ordered through Amazon, after a mate recommended it when he saw it at cinema.

Bit of a blind buy for me so I hope I'm not gonna be disappointed with it.
