There is absolutely no need for the UK to release this. The TW version is fantastic and has been around for ages so anyone who wants it should have been able to get a copy.

The FutureShop viva is also lovely. So we have two fantastic steels already.

There is no need to saturate the market with another release.

That is incorrect - there is no second print run without the error. All of the steelbooks have the same error, even if you would order one today.

I contacted JSDVD about this for their current stock - as a lot of people thought I was mistaken - but it seems like it was (unfortunately), the truth:

Dear Customer,

We apologize for reply late.
Unfortunately the supplier cant prepare 100% faultless of the Lion King.
The edition with silver sticker on the front is not new release.
We need to let you know all of the items have tiny traces on the spine.
Its manufacturing defect, not damaged.

how is it possible than that i have 3 copies with sticker (no spine error) and 2 copies without the sticker (have spine error)?

i actually wouldnt trust responses from customer services at all.

I don't agree. This could be even better with the blu ray + 'diamnond edition' text removed and some minor adjustments (like the painted highlights in the embossed areas), though I have to say I'd prefer a UK digibook release with the same artwork.

However, this is still in my top 5, even with the spine defects

I have 2 copies with no sticker and no spine error. :hilarious:

I trust customer service very selectively only. Most just give the most convenient answer.

i also had to order this. i was surprised i could get such a rare oop item 2 years after release from a normal webshop.

im really looking forward now to get this, got a shipping notice from yesasia some days ago.

i guess all of the ones left for sale have a small spine error (like probably 3/4 of all asian "lion king" steelbooks produced), but i really dont mind as many forum members said that it doesnt look that dramatic when you have it in hand.

You will enjoy this steelbook a lot when you receive the post severo, trust me. It's almost like they didn't struggle with embossing and thin metal those days, unlike how things are now. I hope you get a perfect copy, and even if not, it'll still be gorgeous!
