I just found his comment interesting because IMO they are the worst at slip thickness. I would actually like them a lot more if they were thicker

Zeta for example are much much much thicker

I agree Zeta are thicker. Blufans quality are behind but they are improving which is the main thing. Kimchi, well they have all sorts of different slips, the BluCollection, the standard types (such as FAC/PA/Nova etc) the tall skinny ones (which hopefully will be the last they are doing, the O-Rings, the fatter thick slips such as some Dory/Zootopia. I just wish Kimchi just be more consistent with their releases. Then you have Manta as we all know have a very different texture feel on theirs. They do focus a lot on that. Just need saw off 2-3mm of their height so they can line up with the others.

Well You know i store my steels separate to the slips so whenever I pick a slip up all I feel is the weight of that slip and how sturdy it is, which makes me think are people thinking I'm on about squeezing them with the steel inside. And by squeeze you only have to push down very lightly with your thumbs to see how sturdy each slip is.
It's one of the first things I notice the second I open one up and take the steel out.

FAC 10cl is one of my favourite slips but it's still too light and a bit flimsy (if that's the correct word)

But my comment was for lgans because I cant work out why he would say nova hulk is more flimsy, I have that in my hand without the steel inside with pixels FAC slip in the other hand without the steel inside and hulk is sturdy compared to that and compared to the majority of my FACS
Haha I forgot about that... you crazy man! :pirate::p

What I do like about FAC releases is they all look the same, same size, same thickness, same height. It's consistency helps when they are all lined up on the shelf. It looks really good.

Yeah that is good

Logan looks promising, WEA, lots of variations, a different boxset design, just hope FA improves and keeps workng on this and keeps up with the their competitors.

Yeah that is good

You can understand why I dislike Kimchi, too many different sizes lol. I'm not saying the quality isn't there, its the variations that disappoint me. Just stick to the same theme. You are more of a Kimchi boy arent you? ;) No wait, BluCollection right?

Oh yeah they are annoying like that, gone from o ring lentis to slightly bigger blu collection O rings lentis to lenti full slips with the disney range and thin longer o rings with their WWA dress ups lol but thier finshes are usually top notch though on full slips etc

Err I dunno, they were one of my favourites and yeah I do love the blu collection but other retailers are doing it for me too like manta and also blufans in the last year and half have uped thier game too plus I'm more a lenti lover and all 3 of those are improving on the lenti front to nova standard. Manta are still a little behind on the lenti but improving and kimchi take 3 steps forward 2 steps back kind of thing with every few (lenti) releases but blufans are definately getting better and better

Quality of zeta is clearly there too but I suppose out of all premiums i own kimchi take most space but that will change soon I think (with manta and BF release schedule)

But like I said FAC 10cl is still one of my favourite full slips and packages

I'm personally very dissapointed in the Logan packages and it's made it easy for me to pass but the steel is nice and would get the steel on its own with the lenti magnet but FA have no idea on how to make a decent lenti lol

I can't find any faults to Blufans steels but there are quirks I don't like with HDZeta (loose lenti) and kimchi (too-tight O-rings and the O-Rings themselves). I'll never forgive FA for only producing 100 of the As Above So Below steels but they are probably the best premium steelbook label on the market now. Plain Archive seems to have dropped out of sight and Novamedia are good but their artwork choices aren't ideal.

Just compared some of my FACs, NMs, BFs, Kimchis etc and I wouldn't describe any of them as "flimsy" to be honest. You guys should take a look at the recent Zoom exclusive slips from the UK... now those things are flimsy!

Of course you can't even handle FA slips with bare hands as the acids in your fingers leave dirty grub marks all over them :(

what time will this be going live any one know I got work at 5pm

I hate to be glued to a computer for these things but this Memorial Day has been a washout on the East Coast so I'm home all day. But, yeah, I would've hated having to stay home all day on a major holiday waiting for a group buy to go live (I don't own a smartphone). It's gotta be a couple of hours to sunset in the Czech Republic now so I'm guessing any minute now (unless this is going to be one of those 1:37 A.M. things lol)
