Logan (Blu-ray SteelBook) (HMV Exclusive) [UK]

This artwork only available from Film Arena as WEA http://www.filmarena.cz/promotion-loganI actually quite like it. Not exactly what I was hoping for, but it's fine and probably still better than the Amaray. Finland (and the other Nordic countries) will most likely be getting this as well, as was the case with X-Men: Apocalypse and several other HMV exclusive steels.
I would have preferred this artwork though and it would have suited the film a little better:
The Australian 4K release (4K BD + 2D BD), for example, is listed thus-
Blu-ray = 361 minutes
4K Blu-ray = 274 minutes
As the film is 137 mins in length I'm guessing that both discs will include both colour and B&W version of the film (137 + 137 = 274 mins on the 4K disc . . . same + 87 mins Special Features on the regular BD = 361 mins).
As far as I can make out all BD releases include the Noir version.
Black & Chrome for "Fury Road" and now Noir for "Logan" . . . wonder what name they'll come up with for the next B&W (lol). Maybe NERO ?

That's a shame. I remember being in the Brighton one once back in 89 when I was on a spring break in Sixth Form.
I picked up the 12" gatefold vinyl of Then Jerico's 'What Does It Take?' there. Happy memories.
Regarding the HMV release, if that's the artwork then it's an easy pass for me.
Not sure where you read that, but the America's steelbook (U.S. - Canada - Latin America) is listed as glossy. Also, the America's version has 4K, which the Euro version doesn't. So hands down, the Best Buy version is better: full gloss + 4k. The link to the U.S. listing is here:

Hey, I was thinking about getting one of these from Cooeys group buy because of course my best buy copies had spine slashes. Can anyone tell me how good HMV's quality control is in terms of damage to steelbooks?
They changed it in their description because I checked after @BluSteel2012 mentioned it.
That's why I was surprised the US version is gloss. They must of changed it recently because I only checked the other week
Had few orders off them but only one was damaged which they replaced pretty quickly for me

I liked it at first but i know what you mean. It just Doesnt fit the movie... I think i may just get the 4K UHD for now and pick up a re-release later down the line. Either way release date ill be popping to HMV to have a look.
With the glossy Best Buy steelbook released the other day it's possible to judge if the artwork works well on the steelbook . . . IMO it does . . . nothing special though . . . and appreciate the flow of wraparound artwork both inside and outside.
Whether a full gloss finish works better on this Americas steelbook than other territories' spot gloss only time will tell.
Only issue I can see with it is the positioning of the title on the spine . . . should have been higher.

I'm one of the few who actually likes the steelbook. Much better than the original placeholder art.
Anyone else have a reserved payment for this, have a pending payment for £19.99 only thing I can think of is this? Odd though as it's not out till the 10th July.
Should start shipping in about a weeks times so I doubt it's for this but it could be, I'll have to check if I have something similar
Yep looks like it's Logan, was going to cancel it as I've got the FAC Maniacs box, oh bum.
Oh yeah mine says that in the account too, but I ordered it with the guardians vol 2 tape which came out last week so that's why I thought It said that plus I haven't had £19.99 come out my account yet.

Yes, I do actually. Perhaps they've already received stock and are going to send them out early and/or the release date has been brought forward a week...
